This is exactly the kind of meal you'd expect from a high end steak house. We wanted a place unique to Boston, not a chain like Ruth Chris, Mortons or Smith and Wollensky (not like there's anything wrong with those places). This place put me in the mind of the Erie Cafe or Gibsons in Chicago. My wife and daughter... More

I accompanied my husband this past weekend to Boston on a business trip. Please note that we are in our late 50's and early 60's--we've traveled extensively and certainly know great restaurants throughout this country. So imagine our huge disappointment this past Friday night at Abe and Louie's. As we were staying at the Marriott Copley Place, I was hopping... More

We stopped in for a light lunch and had a great time. The tables on the sidewalk are perfect for watching people go by on their way to/from the baseball. It's right on Boylston Street and one block from Newbury Street so easy to get too for a break from shopping. Although I said light lunch, the wedge salad was... More

Abe and Louie is located in a very trendy neighborhood of Boston. The bar is bustling and the food is just outstanding. The wood paneled walls makes the atmosphere pretty warm. They have a great selection of wine. The steak was juicy and rich - Simply outstanding. The only caution is it could get pretty crowded on Saturday's - make... More

My wife and I have been visiting Bostin for 10 years and we always intended to dine here but never did until tonight. Made a reservation and sooooo glad we did. I had what I thought was the best steak ever in Keens NYC a couple of weeks ago. Tried Smith & Wollensky last week in Boston and it was... More

This gem in the Back Bay area is the perfect way to end a day in Boston. We went on a Friday night at 8, with a reservation. (recommended) I had the swordfish steak and it was prepared perfectly. My friend had the pork chops and said they were good as well. Great wine selection. Great location.

We were late dinning for a Saturday night. The wait was 30 minutes so we decided to eat at the bar, a good decision . The barmen were very friendly, sort of like a neighborhood bar. They knew a lot of diners by name, which tells me the food is god because they come back. They are right. We had... More
