Large portions of pasta, one plate would feed two (or three) people. It felt like going to your Italian relatives house for dinner. The sauce was high on garlic and cheese and lacked the subtle combination of simple ingredients that is in good Italian cooking. Maybe okay for family with lots of kids. more

If you are looking for fru-fru fine dining with funny shaped plates and elaborate decor, this is NOT the place. If you are looking for the kind of food you would get if your best friend invited you over to eat at their Italian grandmother's house, this is it. We saw Giorgio's while we were on a walking tour of... more

This restaurant subscribes to the theory of quanity over quality. The entrees are enormous - wasteful in my opinion for travelers that can't take leftovers home. But to tell you the truth, the food was so bad that I wouldn't have even wanted to take it home. I had pasta w/ alfredo. The alfredo tasted like plain ricotta which seemed... more

We stumbled upon this place while searching the North End for a reasonable italian dinner. Most of the restaurants were packed and over priced. We were able to walk right in and were greeted by the manager. The family style portions was plenty of food for the three of us. The stuffed eggplant and the pumpkin ravioli was amazing. The... more

Wholly Wow. I have not been overcharged for such substandard service and poor food in the last 5 years. The lasagna was pasta, ricotta and tomato sauce without seasoning or character. Taste your food people-it's your job. La Famiglia Giorgio was a total waste. One fellow dinner described their Chicken Parmesan as generic, lacking seasoning and flavor. The Scallops Giorgio... more

We visited La Famiglia in Boston's North end upon the suggestion of a college student while on a college tour. The portions are enormous, I mean ENORMOUS. They have a one entree per person minimum, but since I had gastric bypass, they allowed us to share. My daughter ordered just a bowl of soup, and my husband and I ordered... more

Our party of four arrived at La Famiglia at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, there was a short line of folks waiting outside - and after going to the end of the line for a few minutes - one member of our party walked to the front to check with the hostess on the length of the wait. At that... more

Great little Italian restaurant only a block from the Freedom Trail. Rather than stopping at one of the crowded lunch stops visible from the Freedom Trail, we walked just one block down the street in Little Italy and stumbled across this modest gem. Not the best Italian food but certainly not the worst and our family of 5 walked away... more

Our new favorite restaurant in the North End! We only and I mean only used to go to Pals on the side street. I saw this place on the Phantom Gourmet with a seafood dish covered in mussels, clams, shrimps and calamari and I just had to try it. Well it was beyond our expectations!!! Food was hot, tasty, plenty of it. Waitress Teresa... more
