Delicious!

Went here for dessert after dinner recently. It was a Saturday evening and we were able to get a table with no problem. The desserts were delicious (Boston creme, chocolate molten cake, and caramel molten cake) and the artistic presentation was very appealing. Our server was pretty slow and... read more

If you want the best dessert in Boston and want to go where the locals go, skip Mikes Pastries and head here. Melting cake, cheesecake, creme brûlée, gelato, tarts, Boston Cream Pie...the list goes on. So many beautiful desserts and everyone delicious! If you can't decide, order the sampler. You can even have wine and champagne with your dessert experience.... More

Finale was a great concept, but needs to be reenergized. Everything from the service quality to the environment is lacking energy and enthusiasm.

Some people rave about this place, but I've never been wowed. To be sure, I like it (especially the molten chocolate cake), but it's not the be-all-end-all of dessert places. Solid place to curb your sweet tooth, albeit a bit expensive.

I had a group of ladies here on a Saturday night for a late dessert. It wasn't a super hot day but the air conditioning must have been broken because it was incredibly hot in the restaurant. The service was slow, and they were out of some of the wine we wanted. The desserts were good, but overall the experience... More

The creme brule is beyond amazing. Lightly sweetened custard browned to perfection mated with fresh berries and homemade shortbread cookies with orange zest. In all honesty, I would drive to boston from jersey just for this dessert.

My wife and I arrived on a Saturday night at 1030pm, which we figured would be prime time for a special dessert restaurant. There were plenty of open tables and we soon were able to figure out why. First, there was no hostess/host to seat us. We waited awkwardly at the door while one of the cooks told us someone... More

Nice pizza, excellent creme brûlée! Good spot to sit with friends or (like me) sit with a book and savour the menu.

We were staying nearby and were looking for desert. In addition to their seating area, there is a take-out counter. Their single serving cakes, tarts and pies were all very pretty. They were all pretty expensive too at over $4.00 a pop for a moderately small serving. All tasty too, but nothing out of this world. But - your downtown,... More

Sat outside for a dessert and coffee after dinner last night. As always, choice of cakes was wonderful. Really wicked range of sweet temptations. Sadly the latte was lukewarm and not especially great coffee. Atmosphere wasn't great; maybe because it was early evening, the workers had left and the pre theatre night crowd hadn't arrived

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
