Great place for cake and coffee

After struggling to find a table anywhere else on a Saturday night, we got one here straightaway. Whilst most people seem to come here for cake, we had pasta and a prosciutto and fig pizza, the latter being particularly good. Of course, we had to try the cake whilst here, and opted for the apples... read more

I read and heard that this was the "Place" to go for great deserts in Boston. I was even prepared and not deterred about having to purchase bottled water, this was a family occasion for five and I wasn't overly concerned about cost. What really irked me was getting a frumpy disengaged waiter that appeared to be stumped when I... More

We were here 15+ years ago and it has remained in our minds since! It was worth the return visit! We had the chocolate molten cake and Boston cream pie. I only have a couple comments about our server Jhonathan, 1) he never checked back with us to see how our desserts were and 2) I ordered a side of... More

Finale used to be a really awesome place, and while the desserts still hold up, I get more and more disappointed by the new management every time I visit. About the desserts: if you like dessert this is the place to go. These are artful plates of absolute bliss. I promise they are worth the price tag and the debate... More

Food perfectly acceptable, but waiter informed us that we could not have tap water unless we purchased alcoholic beverages. Shameful! I was there with my underaged children. I think this policy is discarded il and therefore cannot recommend this restaurant.

Why not! Indulge!! Decident...get what you want & don't look at calories, fat or anything stupid like that. Enjoy the bakery. Splurge. Get individual desserts & enjoy them til you smile! Thus place is coveted to us. Our children understand & feel the same. It's a special place.

Dessert was delicious! A bit pricey and not many options. Staff seemed annoyed that we did not know how to order. But it's open late.

I chose this restaurant as it was attached to the hotel I was staying at in Boston and I wanted somewhere close by to eat. The entrance is at the "back" you need to actually walk around and enter from there which in itself is confusing. I went on a Saturday evening and it was reasonably busy but I did... More

Use to be a great place to go for dessert and coffee. We went after the theatre and there was ONE waiter for the entire place. We could not get water because the dishwasher was broken and there were no clean glasses....so makes me wonder how were the plates getting cleaned? The bathroom was a disgrace water, towels and trash... More

Excellent selection of desserts and a great follow up to a nice dinner out in Boston. Went here to celebrate my husband birthday and we each tried a different dessert and shared. Would definately return.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
