We have been to Via Matta several times as a couple and with friends and find it interesting and fun. It is not typical italian cuisine (even though we like typical italian very much) - there is always a twist and and freshness to it unlike anywhere else we have been. An upscale italian restaraunt in a central location. Excellent menu items. I was with a group of 7 and each of us enjoyed their selections. Service was notable slow and erratic. more

The food was average to slightly above average but overpriced. Our service was pretty good. Two beers, an appetizer, entree and dessert set me back $68 with tip. It was worth more like $40. I would consider another restaurant. more
