Subtle Italian

Very good Italian. Subtle touch in the kitchen which suited our appetites. If you are a fan of a huge plate of pasta - this one is probably not for you. Service was good and the I couldn't fault the food. If I had one criticism it would be that the waiter pushed the wine list - so be prepared... read more

Has a great location on Tremont near the theatres. On this Friday evening was filling up fast at 6.30 pm. Had a pasta appetizer which was good and then the scallop entree which was pretty on the plate but oversalted. My companions arugula salad had nice fresh greens but was also over dressed which is a pity. Not inexpensive for... More

We arrived for an early meal prior to the theater. The seating was available and the interior is long and open. The sound level becomes very loud as the tables fill. Tables are very close together and as the restaurant became crowded the elbows of the adjoining tables were introduced to ours. Drinks were well poured and reasonably priced. The... More

My wife and I took my visiting Aunt from Australia to Teatro as a surprise dinner. The staff from the hostess to the waiters and busboys were all very attentive, but not overbearing. They smiled and clearly enjoyed their job. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with enough room between tables to allow you to hold civilized discussions. The menu... More

We chose Teatro for a 5:30 early after work dinner meeting. Terrific! Table service was quick, energetic, and friendly. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We had the snap pea salad and the meatballs for appetizers and the half-size portions of the gnocchi with pesto and the scungili as our entrées. "Light" is that word comes... More

We visited this place with friends. The food was great from the pasta to the pizza and the salads. Try the super thin crusty pizza and the seafood pasta. Nice atmosphere, service not so good.

We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. We had an early morning flight out so needed to have an early dinner near our hotel. This was right around the corner from the Ritz and we enjoyed the antipasto, small servings of pasta and a crispy flat bread with prosciutto. Not as chic as some of our special occasion dinners but... More

After two good Italian meals in the North End, I wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant in the theater district. I shouldn't have worried; we had an incredible meal! First, the glasses I ordered (a Vermentino and a Rosso di Montelcino) were generous and delicious. The food was even better! I had the snap pea salad - light,... More

Yummy dinner after seeing a movie next door with both half and full portions and willingness to customize your dish if you prefer.

After a day of sightseeing in Boston we wanted something quick and tasty (but no fast food) before going to the cinema. Teatro is suitably located next to Loews IMAX and we got a nice table without reservation (Tuesday evening at 19.30). Not only was the service quick and friendly, but the food was soo delicious! A beauty for your... More
