We came here with the advise of our friend. We were so enthusiastic about having an Italian foods but the menu was so poor Italian menu. Therefore we preferred different foods like ribeye and sword fish. Both were not good and lack of taste. We tried pumkin and apple soup as a starter. That was also not good. On the... More

Food is delicious and great for sharing. They have half portions so you can try different things without filling up. My wife and I shared the Antipasto which had many interesting and tasty treats on it. I had a pasta dish and my wife had the flatbread. Both were great and not too filling after the large antipasto. We sat... More

I love a nice place, with beautiful presentation that offers traditional size portions. This place is beautiful, 5-star entrees and excellent atmosphere. I am the type of person who is completely turned off when a plate is smothered and overflown with glutinous portions. I would absolutely recommend. I had the "Scallops Georges Bank" and it was delish!!!

We enjoyed the environment, the beautiful Italian ceilings, and extremely terrific Staff--everyone was tops. The food was fair, but it was a lingering wonderful dinner in other ways, and sometimes the food isn't everything. It wasn't horrible, just could have been better with the two pasta dishes we had. The Butternut squash soup was A+ and the dessert was terrific,... More

Teatro is a charming restaurant with a great feel about it. The décor is interesting (except the ludicrously minimalist 'canvases' on the wall) and it has a real buzz about it. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was great - particularly an apple and pumpkin soup which was a generous serving and very hearty. I also had... More

Since we don’t dine in downtown Boston very often, we read many of the reviews of Teatro before choosing to visit it before attending a theater event. The reviews were nearly all positive and after our visit, we are happy to agree. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened at 5PM and, since it is not a very large restaurant;... More

I'm sorry to say that my husband & I really didn't enjoy our experience in this restaurant. I appreciate that the restaurant is in the theatre district but to charge the prices that they do, is simply unacceptable. Our starter, main courses, soft drink & 1 glass wine cost us the thick end of $70 (without tip). Not somewhere on... More

We both had two half portions and enjoyed the variety. My fig and prosciutto sausages were beautifully flavoured and spiced and the shell pasta with lobster tossed in butter was sublime. My husband loved his grilled peach and ricotta bruschetta. It was such a joy to find a menu that didn't ape every other restaurant's in town. Highly recommended.

Excellent food -- Italian and creative. Not as wonderful as Sorellina, but not as expensive, either. Great wine list, with a fine selection of modestly price wines -- unlike many fine restaurants, including this site's sister restaurants. Interesting interior -- a bit too loud, with all the hard surfaces. Open kitchen. Probably best to come after the pre-theater crowd --... More

We had a truly memorable meal at Teatro. The service was attentive and professional without being too 'in your face'. Appetisers were grilled calamari (a special on the day) and Prince Edward Island Mussels. The calamari was very nice but was totally outclassed by the mussels which were truly sensational. Removed from their shells they were perfectly cooked and served... More
