Great Food and Great Location

Nice family style Italian place. Chicken parm was very good and so were the profiteroles. Very good service, and in a great area.

This was our first time to Maggiano's. We came to Boston to see a comedy show and wanted to find a place near the hotel and theatre. Let me start by saying...our entrees were GREAT. I had the "Our Famous Rigatoni "D"" and it was delicious. My husband had the "Gnocchi & Italian Sausage" and it was equally good...actually excellent.... More

Full range of Italian & American-Italian dishes. Food is good & wholesome,by no means gourmet. Prices are very reasonable & you'll have lots left over to take home in a doggy bag. Mussels & salads are particularly good value. Tends to get very crowded on week-ends. Wines & beers are also reasonably priced. In conclusion, you get a very reasonable... More

Large, too-busy restaurant. Our entrees were delivered cold to our table. Our waitress and manager replaced them, but the damage was done. Not worth the money.

Went here twice with my family, the food is outstanding, the staff friendly without being cloying and the whole experience is one you will remember for all the right reasons. Thoroughly recommended.

Maggiano's was excellent. Quick, courteous and friendly waitstaff. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Enough that we all had doggie bags. Calamari was the best I ever had. Lightlty fried and so tender. I had the veal parm and it too was very plentiful and enough for 2 meals.

I am really glad that I discovered Maggiano's. I was about to enter the doors of a seafood chain restaurant when I spotted Maggiano's and wandered over for a look. Even though I was a single diner the staff made me feel really welcome! I started with their house cocktail (gin, passion fruit liqueur, campari and sour) it was half... More

This has a good location and not much else. It is part of a chain which has the same restaurant in many malls in the US. It is often crowded, so somebody may like it. I was there because I was invited and the overall experience was pretty bad. We had to wait 20 min past the reservation time. The... More

Very welcoming staff, nice food. We arrived after a long drive, and in between lunch and dinner, but it was no problem at all to get a late lunch. We were even offered a house speciality of fried mozzarella cheese, just for a taste - on the house.

I had no idea this was a chain until after I left. We had a 6 o'clock reservation and we were seated early at a great table in the corner. The place was buzzing and everything was moving quickly. The waiter was pleasant and efficient. He got our drinks and took our order and you wouldn't even know that he... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
