Was lucky enough to get invited to Grill 23 for dinner a few days ago. The ambiance and presence of the waiting staff immediately puts one at ease. The service and attention throughout the meal was exemplary and the food itself of a very high standard. Knowing that the restaurant specializes in it's steaks I went the whole way, starting... More

We have been to a lot of very good steakhouses around the country, and Grill 23 measures up to the best of them. My wife had the filet, I had the ribeye -- both were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. Sides were also well-done and plentiful. The service was prompt and attentive. One note of caution. We made a... More

I used to eat in this restaurant 14 years ago , I had beautiful memories with my family in it . It was one of the best in boston that time . Yesterday I was invited there for dinner . The restaurant interior is just the same , service was friendly but if you don't call them no one will... More

This is a formal restaurant located in a upmarket area of Boston city centre. The service is old-style formality. Most of the clientele appears to be businessmen on expense accounts. I wanted to try its 100 day aged rib eye. However, it only came in an 18oz portion and I was dining solo, so it was not possible! It is... More

The food was good but not great. The food at the Capital Grill is much better. Our meal was very expensive - $200 for two people. The bread basket contained tasteless bread that was a little stale. The service was excellent, though. There is a big staircase which goes to the second floor and that is where we were seated.... More

We found this place as a winner of best steakhouse in the Boston magazine so thought we would give it a try. We had a drink at the bar first. The margaritas were great and ordered some calamari appetizer. Unfortuantely after around 30mins it still hadn't arrived so we checked with the bartender and she handled it really well. She... More

This meal was exceptional!!!!! Starters were divine: buffaloed chicken ( yummy) spicy and complex with blue cheese dressing, calamari romana that had bonus baby octopus included...really good but again gargantuan pile of food. Vast portion sizes ...asparagus side dish was enough for four people. Steaks: we chose the half fillet mignon at 8 oz seemed ample. I guess those with... More

We have dined in August with our 2 kids. Table at 2nd floor. Good and comfortable ambiance. The filet mignon was simply delicious and we've tried tomatoes with queso, really good. It's a little bit pricey but it's worthy.

What an amazing meal! The 100-day aged steak ranks at the top of my dining experiences. It - coupled with the beets and hash browns - made for an indulgent meal. Treat yourself to this restaurant. You'll be glad you did.
