Does what it says on the tin. Great food, superb wine list, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Service was just good enough for a high end establishment (although in fairness, they were very busy).

Impeccable service, good food, but prices that would be laughable if they weren't so insulting. The shrimp cocktail features 4 average-sized shrimp, with nothing to add beyond what you would get at a tourist spot on Cape Cod, yet they charge the ridiculous amount of $19... The $13 simple green salad was similarly underwhelming... The Shetland salmon was nicely prepared... More

The steak I had was very well prepared and had good flavor. The sides are family style so we had a few to share and all were good. Its not a super fancy place which is nice when you want to be a bit more casual. Service was good. Atmosphere is a bit loud but nice.

Great menu choices, in the price range for a business dinner. Steak duo was perfectly prepared. Truffled "Tater Tots" were excellent. Creamed Spinach perfectly prepared. Sides were enough for the table of 4 to share.

I started coming to Grill 23 in the mid-80s when it opened. In all of this time it has never failed to impress. My favorite steakhouse in all of Boston, although its certainly not just a steakhouse. Impeccable service, out of this world perfectly mixed drinks, outstanding 5-star meals. It is worth every penny and more.

I came here as part of a group of 6 as it was recommended by a Bostonian among us. Now, I'm a vegetarian, so it's not a place that's in any way aimed at me (I had mashed potato) but the steak-eaters were in heaven. 2 had a "100-day aged" steak and were thrilled. We also enjoyed some great wine... More

We were so lucky to be staying in the Loews hotel which meant this restaurant was right on our doorstep. We visited on a very busy Friday evening. The menu is great, classics with a modern twist. Cocktails are worth every penny. Pot Roast and Beef Tenderloin were both great dishes. Highlight of the evening had to be the service,... More

I had a business dinner here on a Thursday evening, a reservation is essential as its a busy place. We were seated immediately and when we asked to sit a different table they changed it for us no problem at all. The service is very good but perhaps a little slow - which was fine for us europeans but I... More

I took my college son here to celebrate his 21st birthday and it was a perfect decision. We did have a reservation, which was good because by the time we left, it seemed completely full. The first thing I noticed was the noise level and I thought I had made a terrible choice. We could barely hear each other by... More
