The food was good but not great. The food at the Capital Grill is much better. Our meal was very expensive - $200 for two people. The bread basket contained tasteless bread that was a little stale. The service was excellent, though. There is a big staircase which goes to the second floor and that is where we were seated.... More

This meal was exceptional!!!!! Starters were divine: buffaloed chicken ( yummy) spicy and complex with blue cheese dressing, calamari romana that had bonus baby octopus included...really good but again gargantuan pile of food. Vast portion sizes ...asparagus side dish was enough for four people. Steaks: we chose the half fillet mignon at 8 oz seemed ample. I guess those with... More

We have dined in August with our 2 kids. Table at 2nd floor. Good and comfortable ambiance. The filet mignon was simply delicious and we've tried tomatoes with queso, really good. It's a little bit pricey but it's worthy.

Everything is done to perfection from the service to the wine selection to the quality steaks. Fantastic experience and looking forward to returning soon.

What an amazing meal! The 100-day aged steak ranks at the top of my dining experiences. It - coupled with the beets and hash browns - made for an indulgent meal. Treat yourself to this restaurant. You'll be glad you did.

Excellent steakhouse and seafood, centrally located, known to Boston as one of the top dining spots. I was here 6 years ago and enjoyed our steak there; this time the lobster tail and fish were wonderful. Great venue for business dinner or celebration of special occasions.

The restaurant is an upscale and somewhat pricey steak house and more. Our food and service were excellent. The wine list is impressive, but is also pricey (we had 2010 SLV, excellent). However, we were prepared for a nice dinner and that's just what we had. It was busy even on Wednesday, but it was not particularly noisy. It is... More

What do Morton’s, Capital Grille, Abe and Louie’s, Mooo all have in common? Steak and creamed spinach would be far too easy a response. Answer: they all allegedly aspire to live up to Grill 23’s gourmet greatness. Still going strong after its grand ushering into Boston’s fine dining scene over 30 years ago, Executive Chef Jay Murray’s establishment still serves... More

Recently dined here with my family. From the moment we sat down, it was a hurried atmosphere. The waiter would not look at us when taking the order, he kept his eyes over our heads to see what was happening around him. Obviously the others were more interesting than us! When taking my menu away, the waiter knocked my wine... More

This is a very nice restaurant but very busy and bit expensive. It looked like it catered mostly to business visitors with expense accounts. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was very good but the room was noisy and it was difficult to talk at a bigger table.
