Sat at a table outside on the patio watching the parade of people there for Saint Anthony’s Feast. The food and atmosphere were both great! I recommend the Seafood Fra Diavolo for dinner and a cannoli for dessert.

We stopped in for lunch and had a meal we were not expecting. From an eggplant rollatini to the Veal Marsala the food was excellent. The outside tables were full but we had a quiet table inside. The wine list is sufficient not overpowering. The food exceptional. A return is imminent.

Just walking down Hannover street saw this place on the corner with out door seating. Decided to give it a try. The Cesar salad was large with huge chunks of Parmesan. I had the naked ziti and my boyfriend had the manicotti; both were great. Must try!

We just walked by, saw the outdoor seating and decided to take a meal here. Their outdoor servers/hostesses were not enthusiastic in the greeting or seating (texting a lot). We were not sure if we should seat ourselves or be seated. Things did go uphill from there. The server got our order correct was friendly once we got to know... More

We had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night and were seated within 5 minutes. The service was quick but a bit harried; we had to ask our server to clear the salad and bread plates when our entrees were served. I enjoyed my gnocchi, but my sangria just tasted like juice and water. My husband ordered the chicken cacciatore;... More

You get good basic Italian food at Mother Anna's and in very big portions. Bring a good appetite or ask for a doggie bag, if you don't think that's tacky (I do). The Sangria they have is excellent, I had chicken marsala, which I could not finish and calamari to start. This is not haute cuisine, but great food if... More

On our visit to Boston, we definitely wanted to eat on the famous Hanover Street for Italian food. We were given a couple of recommendations, but those had 1.5-2 hour wait times and we were just too hungry to wait that long! We stumbled upon Mother Anna's as it was a beautiful night and saw they had a couple of... More

This wasn't my first visit to Mother Anna's. This time I ordered Chicken Marsala, and it was to die for! Absolutely the best I ever tasted. The others in my party were equally pleased with their dinner. I completely recommend this restaurant.
