The first time eating here, the food was fantastic, service very good and left feeling "we can't wait to come back!" Second time.... not so much. Wish I could say better things but we spent a good deal of money and left feeling quite let down. Sorry, Mother Anna's, but we won't be returning. Too bad because we really wanted... More

Second trip to the North End for Italian. After a number of folks recommended this restaurant to us we finally got to make a visit to it on our last night in Boston. We were not disappointed. Excellent service nice ambience, and SUPER FOOD!!! We had a party of six, and we went from simple (spaghetti and meatballs) all the... More

My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary. We were seated inside and the atmosphere was just okay. I think outside on the patio would have been much nicer. The server was prompt and helpful with menu recommendations. We had the mozzarella and red pepper appetizer and it was very average. Our entrees of tortellini Alfredo and seafood... More

Wanted to go to a place with good, authentic Italian Food. It was a reasonable price. Food was served quickly and was hot . Portions were huge. A local had recommended it to us.

Ate here twice once we discovered it. The garlic bread with cheese toasted is to die for. Loved the veal scallopine Marsala.

Sightseeing alone while husband was in a conference so I stopped in for lunch. I wasn't sure if you seat yourself but after standing in the door several minutes, the server told me to sit where I'd like, sitting outdoors in the wonderful sunshine was just what I needed. Ordered the chicken parm and it was great. The tomato sauce... More

Loved this place so much we went back a second time! We intended to go to Giacomos but found that it was more on the seafood side then we wanted. Mother Anna's is a great choice if your looking for a reasonable price($12-18 per entree) and more classic dishes. A staff member told us its the same red sauce recipe... More

One of the best Italian meals ever. We went at lunch, and the lunch portion size was huge! I set an appetizer of eggplant rollatini and it was delicious. Three large pieces of eggplant grilled to perfection. The restaurant is small and clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. The wait time for your good was normal. Overall excellent... More

Good location and good food, but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was a bit slow. Prices are fair. Good option for a large group.

First time visitor to this restaurant on our weekend getaway to Boston. Could not have been happier with our choice. Friendly service and the food, especially the Fettuccine Alfredo,Not the fanciest, but "don't judge a book by its cover".
