Great Italian Restaurant

We sat outside on a lovely evening enjoying delicious Italian food, washed down with New Zealand wine!

Take it from a person who has eaten lots of Italian food at home and in restaurants all around Boston. Mother Anna's is a typical old school Italian restaurant. Like all real Italian restaurants the bread is day old!!! The gnocchi is pretty good, not as good as my mother's but still not bad. The eggplant rollatini is off the... More

This has become a family favorite and a must do on each visit to Boston. A friend who used to live in the north end suggested it and we have loved it ever since. It is a simple yet delicious place to eat. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The portions are huge! My 2 year olds bowl of... More

Small, comfortable setting and a welcoming owner. Absolutely stunning gnocchi, and excellent sauces on everything. We loved this meal so much! Thank you!

Do yourself a favor and don't eat here, I'm shocked that a restaurant with such poor quality can still be open on a street with other great options. The experience started with terrible stale white bread, a salad that was laughable (dressing served in a plastic cup) and then when my cheese ravioli was delivered I found multiple pieces of... Mother Anna’s in Boston is a popular spot, one of the oldest in the area apparently. I found the atmosphere to be quite cozy, the staff was fantastic. We were a very large group of almost 60 people and they were amazing at serving us excellent hot food. The appetizers were amazing, and the main courses, I had the Veal... More

I've been here twice, each time had chicken parm, it was good both times. I've also had the stuffed mushrooms, also very good.

Made a reservation but table was not ready upon arrival. The place is pretty crowded, not a lot of privacy. It's more of a place to go to with friends. The menu has a lot of options and the food is pretty good, not much to it. Price isn't bad given the size of the portions. I'd recommend it to... More

We have been to this restaurant many times(5) for both lunch and dinner and have not have anything but a great time across the board. From the service to the food, just wonderful. I heard that the owner and his brothers learned to cook from their Nona as young boys and still use her 85 year old recipes which are... More

On a Saturday night, it was one of the few restaurants without a line. Although the personnel provided a good service, the food was just average and overpriced.
