Great view of the Common

Came in here with a group of 5 and sat at one of the most outstanding tables with a view in Boston. In is on the 2nd floor of the restaurant and overlooks Boston Common. Troquet has been a Boston fine dining staple for a long time and for some reason I feel it is often overlooked. This is an... read more

I would rate this restaurant between 5 to 10 best restaurant in Boston. Quality of food is excellent, and I was really surprise by the wine witch is offered at reasonable price. Decor is average.

I have walked by this place many times If you peer in it looks like a dark empty space with a tiny bar in front But the restaurant is upstairs The upstairs is a little small and dark but pleasant The service unpretentious and attentive The food is really exceptionally good and very well prepared Not cheap More than worth... My wife and I met in France, but I confess that my palate is more Irish than French. There are a number of things I don't, can't, or won't "do" -- truffles, mushrooms, or any other kind of fungus, snails, etc. Having said that, let me also say that this was a FABULOUS restaurant, with good (and patient) service, excellent... My husband and I celebrated new years eve this year at Troquet. The atmosphere was intimate, the tasting menu was incredible. The wine list is exceptionally priced. Service was excellent, as a fun new years eve treat, noise makers, hats and horns were handed out to count down the hour. I will definitely be back to this gem of a... More

I started with the appetizer of lobster crepe, which consists of tightly rolled stuffed crepes and a tart sauce. Delicious. The roast chicken with chanterelles was perfectly cooked, with a superb crisp skin and a perfect brown sauce. Absolutely first rate. The room, off the Boston Common, is a bit dingy, but it doesn't detract from the food.

We went to Troquet for a pre-movie birthday dinner, and from the moment we stepped in the door we were treated with phenomenal service. From the wine-pairing to the impeccable presentation of the food, to the burst of flavor in each bite, we enjoyed every minute of our dinner. I especially loved the foie gras appetizer and it came prepared... More

You'll find this restaurant has wonderful wine, exquisite food and lovely views of the Boston Common. It was a delightful stop for dinner during our holiday dash about town. The Painted Hills Beef Duo I tried was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the sauce was a pure delight. The roasted potatoes that accompanied the dish... More

Well.... our waiter appeared a little nervous and uneducated about the food he was serving but, his querkyness made up for it. The decor was nice and fit the food they served. The location of the restaurant was right next to Boston Commons Park, which was nice and within walking distance to the Wilbur Theater. The food was... nice but... More

Troquet is one of my all time favorite bars in Boston. It is always nice and quiet, it is truly a hidden gem. Pop in for a flight of wine. They have some fantastic wines to choose from. The Sauvignon Blanc sampler is fantastic as well. Also request a free sample of the nuts - they melt in your mouth... More
