Came in around 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Place only had a few diners, mostly people at the bar. We were seated right away. Service was quick and friendly - no issues there. They didn't have all the beers on the menu available. My husband tried to order a couple things and they didn't have them. When we did settle on... More

This place is well worth a visit for its wide range of craft beers. Knowledgeable staff can tell you what might float your boat. Hungry? You won't be after a feed here. I had the ribs with creamed potato, green beans and corn bread. $14 for a real plate full and great tasting. Husband had great pastrami sandwich too. We... More

Stopped in here for supper before hitting the Fleetwood mac show at TD garden. Managed to sneak in just before the rush. Great selection of beers, our server was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The restaurant got busy really fast but the service didn't slow down, our waitress was always there to fill up empty pints! Great... More

As a Bruins season ticket holder, I frequent the Canal St Beer Works often. I usually love the atmosphere, food, beer and service. Last Thursday night I had an experience that will probably mean the end of our traditional pre game meal. My daughter and I arrived at 5:10pm. There were many empty tables. No wait. However, the hostess told... More

I reviewed this spot before after several positive experiences. Last night we had a poor visit. My husband had a sampler and he said that two of the beers were okay, and two weren't. My meal was dull and I didn't eat much. We were a party of 4 who received 2 menus. When I went to the bar to... More

Stopped by the Boston Beer Works while waiting for the commuter rail out of North Station. Being very familiar with their Salem store we thought we knew what to expect. Constant Companion ordered the Garden Burger($9.95) and I ordered a medium rare Burger with fries. The Garden Burger was acceptable but average. My burger was perfectly medium rare and excellent,... Horrible service. I ordered watermelon ale no actual slice of watermelon in my beer because it was the last day of August. My sister ordered cheesecake, 10 minutes after server returned to inform no more cheesecake, fine; she ordered apple crumble and then returned to inform no ice cream left. After the really disappointing service she gave us the check... More

Some friends and I decided to go here for drinks after meeting in our hostel around the corner. It was a weekday night, so it was pretty quiet and slow. Of course, this place has a ton of different kinds of beer and as with most places with huge selections, it can be a bit difficult to choose. The bartender... More

We were in the neighborhood on a Sunday night and wanted a quick dinner and we could easily walk in and sit at the bar. The server was attentive but couldn't have been less interested in his job. The nachos were fine, the 9-alarm boneless wings weren't even hot but they were flavorful and tender. Salads were fine, but I... More
