I had the occasion to dine here on back-to-back weekday nights. Both evenings, the service was generally slow but the food made the wait worthwhile. I highly recommend the clam chowder and the lobster fra daviolo. I had the crab cakes on the second night and they were less impressive but still tasty.

Helped by a most charming waitress my wife and I had never really enjoyed the delights of lobster without the kids being with us. We therefore had the Lobster (removed from the shell and covered in crabmeat) thereafter baked delightfully. the side dishes we ordered were perhaps a little too much and the meal with its potato and spinach was... Place for everyone to try in Back Bay area. Food and Service was excellent. We had Scallops and Swordfish and everything from the cup of chowder through the entree was excellent. Convenient location which is within walking distance from many hotels and the local mall. Looking forward to returning for another meal.

Ate here while at a conference at Copley Place in late Jan. Restaurant easy walk from the Marriott Hotel. There were 8 people total. Jim was our server and did a great job of explaining the drink menu and food menu. There was an issue with one entree that we were told included lobster and there was no lobster in... More

We ate lunch here in January with our son. We were all happy with our meals although our son had eaten the Fish and chips there last summer and liked it better then. They are now preparing the fish and chips with a thicker batter more like a beer batter our son prefers a thin crispy batter. My husband started... More

I’ve walked by this place several times en-route to other restaurants. As this is my last visit to Boston for a while, I decided to give it a try… the good reviews from Trip Advisor, with beautiful pics enticed me. When I entered the bar, Anthony, the bar tender greeted me. Upon perusing the menu, I didn’t see the dish... More

What a nice place to come by yourself. In an elegant-looking restaurant, I wasn't sure if I'd have another lonely dining or a fun one during my work travel. Well, not here. Food is definitely great. I ate at the bar which has full-service. The bartenders are incredible, and they make you feel very welcome and comfortable! Particularly Joe who... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
