Good option before the theater

We were seeing a show at the Boston Opera House and ended up here because of the long waits everywhere nearby. Turned out to be great that we ended up here. Service was friendly and quick. When we stay at a hotel we also take into account the breakfast. Ave One has both A la Carte menu and buffet which are both equally delicious with a variety of choices to please any palate. We really enjoy the buffet where the chef can make you a pancake with all your favorites or an omelet with a variety... More

My wife and I ate at Avenue One while we were staying at the Hyatt Regency Boston. We were both very pleased with our meal. I had the fish and chips and they were fantastic. The menu had a variety of options, and was reasonably priced. The service was very good.

After getting in from the airport late, we went down to the restaurant and were very please to here that the kitchen stayed open till midnight. This is a very nice touch - as I am sure we are one of the many that get in late from Logan and have not eaten yet. Would eat here again

I met friends who were staying at the Hyatt. We decided to eat at the hotel so we could have more visiting time together. What a mistake!! The service was horrible. Several different waitstaff went by our table during the 4plus hours we were there and did not attempt to inquire if the food was good, or if we needed... More

Our party of 3, 2 adults and a toddler, arrived early before going to see Cinderella. Since we parked at the Hyatt, it was easy to just walk upstairs to Avenue One. At 11:30am when we arrived our only options were the brunch or to order off of the breakfast menu. After checking out the brunch we felt there were... More

I stayed at the Hyatt Hotel adjoined to Avenue One and ate at the restaurant my first night there. I was torn between two dishes (Halibut and Scallops) and asked my waiter Sam, for input. He said the Halibut was good, but he strongly recommended the Scallops. Although I had poor scallops the night before I went with Sam's suggestion... More

This was our first time visiting Boston and the dinner we had at Avenue One was a wonderful introduction to the city. My husband and I were staying at the Hyatt Regency (greatly remodeled, by the way) and didn't want to venture too far for dinner since we explored the city earlier in the day. We were so happy we... Yes I posted last month but ate here tonight before the theater. Klarens was our waiter again and he met us with a hug. As before, great service and delicious food. Klarens knew it was our anniversary and went out of his way to shower our party of four with outstanding service. Thank you for making our night so perfect!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
