Avoid this sorry excuse for public dining as if it transmitted the plague. I stopped in 3 days ago, late lunchtime, and asked to see a dinner menu. I was loudly told in a scolding tone "We're closed!" I explained that I wanted to see a dinner menu as I was considering returning in the evening. The cranky host, for... more

During a business dinner, a waiter brought 3 rolls for 4 diners. I was later refused a roll from the bread server because I didn't have a bread plate; she refused to put it into my hand or on a dinner plate. I ask the first waiter for more bread, he said; "I just brought you some, do you want... more

We brought clients for dinner, making reservations beforehand and asking for a special table in the corner to maximize the view. We didn't get it. One of our diners had very specific dining requests, which the chef refused (yes, the waiter actually said "refused") to grant. It wasn't a lot -- he wanted things removed from his dish, not added.... more

The Location says it all, A Window Table on the Water in Boston Harbour. Seafood Specialities. Traditional Dining with Quality and Service. See some of the Stars and Celebrities photographed in the Lobby! Someone said its the type of place you would take your Mom for dinner. Well whats wrong with that? There are trendier places in Boston, but we... more

Having been wowed by Anthony's several times over the last few years we felt confident in taking friends who were first time visitors to Boston. What a shame to see how Anthony's has deteriorated in the 2 years since our last visit. Gone is the professional and courteous service, replaced by a barely disguised hostility. This was typified by our... more

Just had dinner there last night (Sunday). It had been about 20 years since I was there and I don't need to go back for another 20-40 years, as there are much nicer places out there for half the money. The place was fairly deserted. After I saw the menu prices, it's not surprising. The server took drink orders and... more

A unique, one-of-kind, memorable establishment not to be missed among the trendy, wannabees that surround this classic memory maker. This restaurant has an elegant, European atmosphere and excellent service once you are seated. The dining service, atmosphere, service and cuisine were excellent...you will feel like you are in Europe at a fine restaurant and with the best view of Boston Harbor... more

This restaurant has plenty of room which is good because it is a popular restaurant. Good food - specially seafood. Service is also good and the ambience is that of a typical restaurant on a pier. more

My husband and I along with another couple had lunch at Anthony's on a recent Sunday. We were very disappointed with the dining experience from the time we were approached by the host. He presented us with very confusing questions upon finding him at the hostess stand over the bridge. Are you here for dinner or a lighter fare? We... more

It's a beautiful Saturday! The weather is in the 80s. We had just seen the Venetian art exibit and wanted to sit outdoors and enjoy the beautiful Boston Harbor while dineing on wonderful fish!! ANTHONY'S of course!!! They had not set any tables ouside. That was OK because the AC was not on inside and it was sweltering as though... more
