Very reasonable Faneuil Hall option

In consideration of the context of Zuma's location (a very touristy area with the reputation for high prices and less than highest quality), this restaurant is a very solid 4 star option. My wife and I went for lunch on a weekday and were seated immediately at a high top near the bar. Service was... read more

My husband and I stopped into this restaurant with after reading a sign advertising $5 margaritas. Our server (I wish I could remember her name) was very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was eclectic and homey. The food was absolutely amazing!! Mexican, barbecue and great prices. I only wish I lived closer, I'd definitely be a regular. And the margaritas,... More

January 2nd. Cozy place with a nice atmosphere.. Very busy. Our waiter was great. Food was very good. Very affordable...would definitely go again. Had to make reservations ..and only had to wait a half an hour...but you can walk around the area and see the sights...then they call you when your table is ready....

In a city center its hard to find $16 tasty Margarita pitchers, but at Zuma....you can. Great chips and salsa and over 100 tequilas...this a great watering hole.

We sat at the bar and Jimmy & Walter were tending bar, great place to visit in the Faneuil Hall Market Place without feeling like you're being ripped off or in a tourist trap. You can grab a house margarita for around $5- and a delicious burrito for under $10, of course while you wait there's free chips and salsa,... More

Stopped in for lunch today. We sat at the bar & ordered some drinks. I loved the Prickly Pear margarita....not sweet at all, perfect flavor. I got the Baja fish tacos. Excellent flavor, fish was perfectly cooked, not spicy, there's plenty of hot sauces on the table to choose from if you want to add some zip. Great place that's... More

Wanted to find somewhere that wasn't too noisy and found this gem. Music was the right volume for us - not so loud that you had to shout to be heard. Staff were all extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I had a fish and rice dish which was really good. The place was very, very busy but the... More

One of the trolly tour salesmen recommended Zuma as his favorite place to eat around Quincy Market. My boyfriend and I love Mexican food, so we were all for it. I had a quesadilla with grilled chicken and caramelized onions, he had a grilled chicken wet burrito. Nothing was "bad", but it also wasn't especially good. The greatest redeemer: We... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
