Good food

Great fish and chips, lobster sandwich and crab cakes. Nice little find on a cold day in a popular tourist area. Bathrooms a bit grim, though.

A must stop! Clam chowder and fish sandwich is excellent. This is a hole in the wall, and is a basement establishment. Very casual dress but food is worth the stop.

Stopped by on a recent trip to Boston and had a great seafood meal. Their chowder was first rate and I also enjoyed the seafood platter.

We had dinner at the Salty Dog which we stumbled upon while taking a walk around Quincy Market-Faneuil Hall area of Boston. We were greeted by a very friendly, smiling waitress who carefully explained many of the dishes on the menu. There was a good choice of beers. The chowder was excellent, the best on our entire trip around Cape... More

We chose this place as we strolled through Faneuil Marketplace. We wanted to sit outside and this was closest to where we were when we wanted to eat. My husband very much enjoyed the fish and chips - said it was very light. I had a deli-type sandwich and it was good. What I didn't like about this place was... More

When single, 40+ years ago, we went to Faneuil Hall with friends and I was new to seafood. It was suggested I have the swordfish as it was mild and wonderful. And it was. I'd always planned to return and we did last Sunday. It was better than ever. Awesome service and meals. Everyone in my party raved about what... More

We ate inside the restaurant, it is below street level and very quaint and cozy. The server came over promptly to take our beverage orders. It was lunch and there was a lunch menu on the back page of the main menu. I ordered the fried clams (not the clam strips). It came with fries. The clams were tender and... More

Very cozy spot inside. Better the outdoor seating (best choice is to sit at the bar). Seafood is very, very good (oysters!, calamari). Very friendly staff. Situated right at Quincy market.
