Good, but not great

We liked their food, but the service was slow. Other tables were served before us even though we were seated first. It almost seemed like the server ignored us. When we were served he acted like he'd rather be anywhere but there. Not a terrible experience, but I'll look somewhere else next time.

Right in the heart of Quincy Market, this place has an awesome location for watching the never ending steam of people going by. Was disappointed that some of the beers and main dishes we were interested in they were out of. My wife had some clam chowder which was luke warm and just okay. I ha a lobster roll which... More

We had soup and sandwich, both were average. It was a pleasant atmosphere and staff was friendly. It seemed like they're specialty is the raw bar, we didn't try it.

On the positive side - servers were super friendly and efficient Food was nothing to write home about and one of the kids ordered mussels where a few shells were closes so I was slightly paranoid about what they were eating. Convenient location but wouldn't go back.

For my second time in Boston, I've decided to go to a seafood restaurant where I can eat and enjoy oysters and lobsters. So, I chose this restaurant and I definitely don't regret it. The restaurant's location is very good, in Faneuil Hall, next to all the shops and stores. Food is great, the lobsters are tasty and well cooked.... More

The server seems like was doing us a favor even knowing the price wasn't that great. Food was "ok"....I would not recomend....that is a place for tourists only witch they probably will never come back that is the reason this restaurant don't care much about to provide a better service.

Great atmosphere, fun staff, great food (very fresh seafood) and good beer on tap! This place is everything you could want from an oyster house!

I was travelling in New England for work this week and took a couple of hours to walk around. The Salty Dog is right in the middle of the tourist area with a pretty nice outside arrangement. I sat at the bar enjoying the nice breeze. They feature Harpoon beers (IPA and Summer) and all sorts of other cocktails. I... More

Located adjacent to Faneuil Hall, Salty Dog is a casual dinning opportunity in an otherwise ridiculously packed food court. Skip the over-cooked pasta, sandwiches, pizza, and oyster on the half shell--really, in a food court. Salty Dog is a great alternative comparably priced but inferior options. We had the crab cakes with rice and shrimp basket with fries. All of... More

You know precisely what you're getting into as you walk down the stairs and into the entrance--the aroma of freshly cleaned fish beckons you onward. We went for beer, raw oysters, and raw cherrystones. Everything was delightful and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive too. We had a total of 8 beers, 2 dozen oysters and a few clams...
