Great food… and even better atmosphere

The owners named it well. The bar/lounge area has three massive sectionals as well other “living room” furniture, plus plenty of tables and stools… a refreshing change from other restaurants. The dining area was well-appointed: A very appealing and comfortable place to enjoy a nice meal. We... read more

This is the sixth year we have hosted a Holiday Party at the Living Room. I honestly can't say enough great things. From the ease of planning the party, to the exceptional pricing, to the super attentive staff, delicious food....all fantastic! Our organization would hold our parties at a different venue in Boston each year for the past 50+ years.... More

We were traveling from MT and my friend called the restaurant ahead to enquire about the gluten free menu. When we arrived the gentleman greeted us with a smile seated us at a nice table. I appreciated how he remembered their conversation and was so accommodating. Nice staff, good, food, fun atmosphere, I would eat here again.

We have had our daughter's birthday in the function area two years in a row now. The passed heavy hors d'oeuvres and Mac and cheese for the kids is very high quality and consistently so. We've known Bev, one of the managers, for years. She is very thorough on communicating details to Courtney, the events manager. She is equally as... More

Planned a mini fundraiser - for approx 100 people - and booked the Living Room to host it. Best idea ever!!! The Staff at the Living Room was 5 Stars! We had the whole front of the venue - the passed appetizers - were outstanding and never ending! This is an event we hold every 2 years - but due... More

I was hesitant to try the Living Room since I had read mixed reviews, but we moved right next door and I want to try all the places in my neighborhood. We ordered the Fish & Chips and the Baked Mac & Cheese. Both dishes were actually very tasty and the presentation was fantastic. The price point felt a tad... More

Dinner at this restaurant was included in the tour of Boston that I recently took. I checked the reviews and was not hopeful of a good dining experience. Fortunately, it was better than I had hoped. We had a group of about thirty people and were placed at two long tables. This made for awkward serving by the staff. My... More

We hosted an event for 50+ people using the lounge area and the private dining room. We were able to customize the menu and work closely with the staff at the Living Room. Our guests raved about the food (definitely recommend opting for the seafood station) and the service was fabulous. The atmosphere is good for a nice intimate event.

We hosted an event here recently for 30+ people and the space was very accommodating. We had a mix of couches and high top tables reserved and it gave a very relaxed and casual feel. We had passed apps and they were delicious, we ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Also, the servers/bartenders were very friendly and outgoing but not... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
