We hosted a 5 year HS reunion here and it was great! The owners were very helpful and professional during our planning and on the night of the event. The atmosphere was excellent, with a more laid-back vibe earlier in the evening and then dancing and a DJ as the night went on. Appetizers were tasty and the drinks were... More

Had my wife's surprise 30th birthday party at the Living Room this last Saturday. It was great all around. We had 20 people total and there were other multiple groups in the dining area, including a 50+ private party, but the service remained attentive and on top of food and drink orders despite my group having separate drink tabs. I... More

We were there on a quiet Sunday evening on a coupon but the food was great and creative with a nice atmosphere. I would return and pay full price.

The portion size was not what I expected for the price and the description. Even at that, I can take a small portion if the food is great, but 3 overcooked scallops does not a meal make. I won't return.

The Living Room, which is in the North End of Boston, competes with a lot of other restaurants in the area. If you do get a chance to eat here take it the food is wonderful and the place is comfortable! There is a new chef there and he has added his own flare to the food. If you do... More

I ate in the dining room section of the restaurant. The service was extremely slow, the drinks orders were incorrect, and the meals were served far apart so the entire table couldn't eat together. The waitress took so long to bring over a straw (for a drink that should have come with one in the first place) that one of... More

I celebrated my 50th birthday at the Living Room in March. I had 50 guests, lots of appetizers, an open bar and a photo booth (which I brought in myself). I could not be happier with the way the party went. John arranged for me to have the VIP Room, so it felt like we were in a private party... More

Lovely peaceful setting near the fireplace, with an exciting vib around the bar. Healthy, good tasting food. "paint night" on Mondays, especially fun!

Last Saturday night we threw an engagement party at The Living Room for my son and daughter -in -law to be. I could have not been more pleased with the entire event and the planning leading up to the event. I have thrown many parties in the Boston area and this was the best experience that I have ever had.... More
