Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

The restaurant have a good service and really good, fresh and tasty food. The view is amazing and I believe it is a very famous restaurant in Boston. A little bit like a "tourist place", but if you are in Boston I recommend you to pay a visit and enjoy their food.

Started with the lobster bisque and it was as expected - excellent! Clam chowder ordered by husband and daughter brought rave reviews. I had the lobster and it was more work than promised by very fresh and tasty. The jalapeño cheddar polenta was really good and a nice variation of what is usually available. My husband had the seafood platter... More

This is one of our go to spots while visiting Boston and it has never let us down. This is a busy place but that never interferes with the experience. The waitstaff is very professional and they have a great menu. I almost always order the chowder or bisque, oysters on the half shell and tuna. We always book on... More

every once in while you run across an exceptional waitress, someone who really cares about you not just as a consumer of foods but you as a person they are waiting on. My husband and I were eating dinner and this fine woman Elysia was that person waiting on us. Welded her so much that we came back the next... More

I was a little apprehensive that the food at Local would be average because it's a chain but I was VERY wrong. They were able to accommodate our party of 23 quickly and that alone deserves a shout out BUT the food is the real reason to go here. Everything was fresh, served hot and tasted delicious. Our server was... More

I grew up around the coast so seafood is my go-to food and I never get bored. I had a reservation and the hostess seated me very quickly in a comfortable elevated corner booth. The table was dressed in clean, crisp linens and the service was several steps above a restaurant that you'd go to every Friday night. I like... More

When in Boston This is my place to go to. The seafood is always cooked perfectly and the service is some of the best around. The clam chowda is one of the best I have ever had. The lobster is always cooked just right, never to hard and the meat is juicy. The wood grilled scallops and cooked to perfection.... More

Whenever feeling to eat seafood me and the family immediately head straight to it. It has this good reputation for freshness which we all found it true. I would recommend the Wood grilled items on the menu especially the Shrimp. Also the shrimp wonton either steamed or fried is an excellent appetizer. Salad are not the ones to order. They... More

As you'd expect from a seafood place, they do great seafood. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the clam chowder which were both excellent. It was reasonably priced for a quick dinner, but I thought the appetizers and desserts seemed overpriced. The location is nice and looked out over Long Wharf.

Booked online via OpenTable. We were seated right the junction of the all traffic ways, so the place was noisy and busy. Very disappointed, if I book a table then I do not want left over poor tables. Food was average for Legal Sea Foods Good and Fresh, but just average.
