The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Delicious seafood!

Located on the waterfront, near the Aquarium, Legal Sea Foods is a great place to stop for lunch. The food is always very fresh. If you're lucky, you can even get outdoor seating.

This was highly recommended by friends and it was very well worth the visit. A group of 14 of us went last night. It was a Tuesday night and yet it was very busy. The seafood was lovely, very fresh, with good steaks and non seafood choices for those who did not eat seafood. The wine choices were lovely -... More

Great food and staff. I was in Boston two days for business and ate here both days. Great oysters on the half shell, lobster rolls and fish and chips. Friendly staff. Can't wait to come back!

A very popular spot for families with young children visiting the Aquatic Museum on weekends. Everyone appeared to be having a great time. Friendly staff, good food. We hid in the bar. It worked.

If you have never been here, it is a boston staple. You should try it for sure just to see what they offer. Is it the best in town.... NO. Not a chance. Is it a cool experience. Yes for sure. You should go just to say you did. Boston has so many great restaurants within walking distance of here.... More

Let me begin by stating we are local's so know seafood. You can always get it cheaper at your local market but for a nice evening out Legal's Seafood will not disappoint. We began the meal with four cups of clam chowder and a plate of the three style calamari (regular, Thai and Rhode Island with banana peppers). The calamari... More

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a less-than-enjoyable experience with the service and food. This time, for my gluten-free wife and I, it couldn't have gone better. The waitress was attentive and extra careful about the GF factor which, by the way, this upscale restaurant chain genuinely cares about. She recommended a Scandinavian cod which... More

My wife and I had dinner at Legal Sea Foods-Long Wharf on March 16, 2015. We had a reservation at 5 PM. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were promptly seated and given a menu. The menu consists of a diversity of sea food appetizers and entrees at above average prices. In addition, the cocktail menu consists of numerous... More

Was headed back to WA from a business trip to VT. I tried the layover lunch and walked the streets of Boston waiting for my flight home. I stopped in at Legal Seafood which I've had before in Ft Lauderdale years ago. The staff was great. I ordered the lobster roll. It was in a word 'amazing'. It was also... More

So we had eaten at Legal Harborside last fall and the whole family loved it. So we went out for a seafood meal at the other local Legal Seafood last weekend and it was good but just not the same without the deck. I know it is still to cold at this point for any deck to be open but... More
