I really enjoy Legal Sea Food. Presentation, atmosphere, service...all TOP shelf. You will not be disappointed.
After waiting at the door before being "remarked" by the staff we were sent to a table right in front of the side-door of the restaurant while it was freezing outside... every time the door openend.... Another 30 minutes withour any action till I finally went to the counter to ask for menus. Still nothing was ordered or served, that... More
As always, the team here did a great job. The Cape Cod steamers were exceptional as were the crab cakes. Bang bang cauliflower was a very pleasant surprise as was the Boston cream cake (shared, of course).
My first visit to Boston in thirty-six (36) years! I had to return to Long Wharf. My colleague recommended that we visit Legal Sea Foods. It was about a 15 minute walk from our hotel on Congress, but well worth it. The restaurant was simply packed. Not sure if they were taking names, but the wait for a table was... More
We almost always go to Legal Sea Foods when in Boston. The food is really excellent and the service is typically quite good. I'm less of a fan of the overall atmosphere however. It's loud and busy.
We head there at least twice a year for group dinners that are always amazing and personal considering the number of personalities involved. Great food, wonderful service, personable and accommodating regardless of the wrenches we throw into things! This place is a destination for many of us, who appreciate the high-standard and quality that we know will be delivered by... More
We stayed across the street and went to the Legal Seafood at MIT last year and loved it. We also enjoyed the one by Boston College. This one just missed the mark. We ordered 2 wedges as we were eating my wife mentioned there was no Blue Cheese on them. I looked up menu on line thinking maybe they do... More
I've never eaten seafood before but was told that while in Boston I couldn't not so when we got off our bus tour we decided to eat here. For someone like myself, who was unsure of what to get - or if I'd like it - I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty my meal was. Everything is fairly simplistic... More
Average service, average dishes. The lobster and clam chowder looked good, however no one in our party ordered. My dish was a seafood platter that consisted of swordfish and tuna that were both overlooked. My companions enjoyed their seafood pastas much better than the dish I ordered. Overall, tourist location nothing special.
Great treat to be back in New England and eat at my favorite sea food restaurant. No where can the chowder compare. Everyone had a different dish and the younger generation was introduced to real sea food. No other restaurant can compare.
