Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

I have to admit I have been to Legal's in Boston an astonishing number of times for a restaurant that is technically a chain-- although I can certainly make an exception for Legal's. Despite this, I have yet to be disappointed by the service, drinks, or menu offered. The view from the multiple bar and restaurant floors over Boston harbour... More

We were told by the Taxi driver on the way into Town that this was the place to enjoy New England Clam Chowder and Seafood. On the recommendation of the server I tried the Chowder followed by Maine Lobster - both were really great albeit somewhat pricey. For 2 people it cost $120 after the tip so not something I'd... The sea food here tasted really good. Good service as well. They have a wide variety of options, but I can recommend the tuna burger.

We decided to have dinner here after visiting the aquarium and seeing an IMAX show. For us it was a decision of convenience since Legal Seafood is across the street. In retrospect we should have taken the extra few minutes to travel elsewhere. The service was poor -the waitress clearly didn't want to be there. The children's menu offered choices... More

O.K. So everyone knows that the chowder is good at Legal. Not the first rodeo for me either. But I'm still leaving this review and recommendation for the very best chowder one could possibly imagine, creamy, flavorful, the tenderest clams, best presentation, on and on... On the heals of freshly shucked oysters, this lunch just couldn't have been beat.

We enjoyed a good meal here. My grandson had the fried calamari and I had the grilled trout with seaweed salad. I really enjoyed both items. My daughter ordered the Lite Clam Chowder which was not made with cream and was less rich. She was sorry that she hadn't ordered the regular clam chowder. The service was good, the atmosphere... The best clam chowder in Boston! Efficient service, good sized portions, and reasonably priced. Huge lobster roll was stuffed to over-flowing. Crab cakes were all lump crabmeat with no bready filler. House salad was another win.

Eat here. An incredible food experience. We went with another couple and ordered lobster roll, clam chowder and the seafood platter. It was way too much food but super delicious. I can't say enough good things about our experience here.

Had large chowder and jumbo crab cake platter fries, two pints beer one pud and a Mexican coffee plus tip $90. Good quick accurate service and back out to a freezing Boston December night. Recommended

I was really looking forward to revisiting Legal Seafood finding myself back on Boston on business. The service was excellent but the food was a real dissapointment. I'm told by my Boston friends that there are better newcomers,,,,,,,,
