Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn’t be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2011/2012), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Wanted fresh lobster in Boston and we chose Legal Sea Foods as they advertise having gluten free options. We ate at the one at Long Wharf as that is where we were at dinnertime. We did not have reservations but the wait wasn't too bad if you aren't waiting for an outside table. We sat inside where it was really... More

I visited twice during my stay and on both occasions the food was of a very good standard. Clearly Legal Sea Foods is very popular, on both visits the place was heaving. It can be difficult to get a table especially if you are in a group. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. As a point of note, Legal offer... More

We had the crispy fish sandwich and the Kung Pao Cauliflower for lunch. Second time having the cauliflower and it is excellent! Don't let the name fool you, it really isn't very spicy, but it is delicious! Have also had the clam chowder and that is wonderful too. Can't go wrong at Legal.

We went to a legal seafood in a mal in Boston and I spotted the lobster on that menu. We then visited Boston central and went on the silver trolley bus tour which was also good. At stop one they drop you off for a harbour trip and Lega Seafood is next to the stop. We had a great meal.... More

While my husband and I enjoyed our dinners, we were most impressed with the variety of offerings on the kid's menu.

This was our first trip to Boston, and literally had two hours to grab a lunch. I really wanted some clam chowder and a lobster roll. I saw the reviews online an decided this was a great place to visit. The food was really good! The down side is that it is a chain in the area, so it wasn't... More

Had the best New England clam chowder. My son who doesn't like seafood thought it was the best he had had. Service was quick. Walked around taking pictures before and after

Not cheap but worth every penny. Seafood is fresh and nice, portions are good-sized, service is attentive without being too "sticky". Location is good too.

Start with the raw bar and work your way down the menu. The New England clam chowder is the gold standard for "chowda" in Boston and anywhere else. Be sure to ask your very helpful server for suggestions. The staff is extremely well trained and very knowledgable about items on and off the menu, bar service options and all things... More

We've previously been delighted with our Legal Seafood experience but the Long Wharf location was a let down in comparison. The server couldn't give a stuff about us, the food was bland and had been standing for too long and little things like not being given any utensils got the lobster irked. Also, given its location near the waterfront attractions... More
