My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for something different, this is your place. We had a crepe style egg appetizer with plum sauce and filled with lettuce, it was refreshing. I ordered a fish head soup which was crazy good but be aware the heads have... More

My wife picked this restaurant out on the basis of how it looked and the nice smell that emanated! I liked the look too as it's walls are all red brick and the floors are wood. When we stepped in I immediately saw the kitchen and a chef making a large crepe right in front of me! This sold it... More

For those homesick Malaysian, this is a place where you can have good Malaysian food. Very authentic, only that u r not in Malaysia itself. They did a good job in bringing the taste of Char Kway Teow, Hor Fun, Roti Canai......IMHO, better than some places in Malaysia. Keep it up.

As a half-Malaysian, I really miss Malaysian food when we are travelling so I was happy to find this restaurant. We enjoyed the food so much that we ate here 3 times during our stay. We tried several different dishes and they were all really good, in particular the ones with the shrimp paste. The food came out very quickly,... More

We got takeout and enjoyed it a lot. The green chili with chicken was tasty, though the curry sauce was really thin, almost like soup broth. The Malaysian Buddhist was excellent: vegetables, tofu skin, and a little bit of noodles. The rice was also really good. The only down side was that the chicken satay appetizer wasn't as fresh as... With our first visit to Boston, we fancied some Asian food. So, after checking out several restaurants, we chose Penang. Simple but nice restaurant, very quick seated. Everything looked delicious, but we chose several different dishes, so we could taste from each-other's dishes. They noted our choices and not even after 10 or 15 minutes, food was already served. What... More

My first Malaysian restaurant experience. We had dinner with a local who frequent the place. We ordered the Kangkung sauteed with shrimp paste, Calamari, Fried Rock Fish and Fried Rice. We were surprised that the food was good but was a little bit overwhelmed with the shrimp paste on top of the fried fish. The service was excellent and price... More

Maybe a bit on the sweet side, but the teh tarik (hot 'pulled', frothy tea) made up for that. Also the char koay chow was too bland, but the 'dry' wonton noodle was excellent! Like a westernized version of a Malay food court in 'section 6' :-)

I visited this Penang Restaurant with a friend who was born in Malaysia. It is part of a chain of restaurants in this country. I have visited several and all are quite good. Food was great; service was excellent; and the beer very cold . . . . just the way I like it. If I am back in Boston... More

I go to Boston all the time for business and everytime I'm in Boston, I usually try to make one visit to Penang for a delicious dinner after work. Food is good and price is very reasonable. Love this place!
