Had dinner for the first time here in March and had a great meal! I had a noodle dish with bean sprouts and salted fish; very good! The atmosphere was one of my favorite aspects of this restaurant but the drinks and service was also top notch. I would definitely go again!

My wife and I have eaten here probably a half dozen times. We love the Roti Canai appetizer, its a must have (although the bread was a little too thin and flaky this time around). The times we have eaten here it has always been very busy. So, get there early or be prepared to wait a little. We had... More

We went here for lunch after having read good reviews. I didn't see any vegetarian soups in the menu at first, but the waiter told me to choose whatever I want and he would make it vegetarian for me. I wasn't disappointed!

We had lunch at Penang and tried Malaysian food for the first time. It's very similar to Thai food actually. We started with an Indian pancake which was a lot like a crepe but very chewy and flavorful. This came with a curry chicken sauce which was very good. We then had a green curry seafood dish prepared in a... More

We tried this place after reading good reviews. Nice place, good atmosphere and service was very good. Chicken to start was a bit rubbery and still ha hair on it. And my main of beef stir fry wasn't very nice. But reasonably priced and maybe we just didn't order the right things.

Malaysian cuisine, very well prepared, though we are not experts on Malaysian food. Mid afternoon lunch. Not crowded. On the outskirts of Chinatown. "Toured" Chinatown after eating. Saw a couple of restaurants we might have chosen. Several excellent bakeries. Had to stop and shop at one. Not an area we would visit again. Not much of interest. San Francisco's Chinatown... More

A busy bustling place, crowded with obviously a good turnover of clientele, and serving good Chinese/Malaysian/Thai food. Walking distance of downtown Boston. Really good value.

Tons of fun, delicious food, great atmosphere in a great location. Lots of choices and attentive service. If we are in the area again we will be back.

Worst dining experience after 9 weeks of sampling various restaurants in Boston. It took nearly 10 minutes for our waiter to even ask if we wanted something to drink, and the restaurant wasn't even 1/2 full for dinner on a Saturday night. There were 4 adults and 2 young children in our group, so we ordered 5 dishes to share... More

Malaysian food is a source of pride for Malaysians, but this place that serves mediocre food makes me a little ashamed. The Hainanese chicken is clearly either overcooked or overmicrowaved and lacks taste nor texture. Or perhaps I was just unlucky.
