Penang has a very cozy, dimly-lit interior, very nice for dinner. The servers were very polite, we ordered noodle soup, chicken, pad-thai and the vegetarian casserole and we received our food fairly quickly. They were all delicious and the servings were generous, particularly for the noodle soup and chicken. They re-filled our glasses of water several times without us asking.... More

Don't go for the dishes you know and recognize from every Chinese place. Go for the original Malaysian tastes - they are very unique and interesting. And if you love spicy hot, this is a heaven. I like the Roti canai. The coconut rise with mixture of meats.

The Penang that I had feasted at was more vibrant, crowded and lips smacking great. It is now quite a bit tired looking plus the novelty had worn off. The food was not as great as I used to salivating over, perhaps the original chefs have all jumped ship. Penang is still ok as an alternative to Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese... More

The decor doesn't project fine dining (it's casual), but the food is wonderful. The crab Rangoon, duck casserole, and pad thai were all just terrific, exceeding expectations. No complaints about service or prices. Convenient location between theater district and Chinatown. Wine and beer only but a decent selection.

Food was phenomenal! The service was super fast too. everything we had was great, especially the beef chow fun. The prices for the amount of food you are getting is astonishing. You really come out of this place stuffed and no dent in your wallet.

Last time I ate here was more than 10 years ago. The roti canai is still the same incredible roti canai of the past. Makes you feel like you are in Penang Malaysia! I ordered an extra bowl of chicken curry for only $2 and change! The popiah however was the most boring I have had in a while :(... More

Good atmosphere & service. Chinese dishes were good but Malay ones not particularly authentic. Reasonably priced.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for something different, this is your place. We had a crepe style egg appetizer with plum sauce and filled with lettuce, it was refreshing. I ordered a fish head soup which was crazy good but be aware the heads have... More

My wife picked this restaurant out on the basis of how it looked and the nice smell that emanated! I liked the look too as it's walls are all red brick and the floors are wood. When we stepped in I immediately saw the kitchen and a chef making a large crepe right in front of me! This sold it... More
