One of the best in Boston chinatown

Good service, Great quantity. Have been there twice and have not been disappointed. Try out the roti canai for sure

This is the real deal! Rare to find Malaysian restaurant that brings together a crossroads menu reflecting the culture of Malaysia. Offerings includes Malaysian, Cantonese, Indian, and Vietnamese items. Service was spot on and our waiters were multilingual. Waiting line to get in on a Saturday night...about 10-15 minutes. Totally worth the wait because our sea bass arrived in a... More

I had lunch at this restaurant with my friend. The food was so so. We needed to wait for long until our food were finally served. Staff were not nice. One of the waiter who served us spoke very rude with bad English (was kinda mixed with their language, I don't know what language though) when asking to pay them... More

This was our second trip to Penang and it was even better than our first. We started out with Malaysian spring rolls which are mostly lettuce in a steamed wrap but they had a nice, spicy sauce on top that contrasted well with the crispy lettuce. My wife had the Penang Pad Thai which was as good as any we... More

This review is not meant to deter you from going as Malaysian food is exciting, flavorful and worth a try. I am writing because i felt the food is not what it used to be. Perhaps the chef is not the regular at 12 noon on a Friday? Yes, the menu is huge and we always over-order as we rarely... More

In the heart of Boston's chinatown or Downtown crossing. Staff very helpful as we had someone with nut allergy. They made sure they didn't put anything close to them even, in case. Made food to request and made sure no peanuts in any food and mix and match. Their mango based dish is excellent (mango chicken), but we opted for... More

My wife and I had dinner here. We are used to having Malaysian food as we have travelled widely across Malaysia and other South East Asian countries in the past. Service is mediocre.

Tired of chinese food? Next time you are in Bostons Chinatown or Downtown Crossing (or in the threater district), roll into Penang restaurant. Having Malaysian in-laws and having been to Malaysia several times, it really is like a trip to asia. great recipes and tastes, fresh fish tank, casual ambiance. chicken roti app, house fried rice and chicken with mango... Was there a few days ago with friends, we were served quickly and had a nice table. The food was nice and the menu offers a good variety without being over the top. The only thing is that we were charged for full price of broccoli and fish dish despite having ordered only broccoli, so $12 for a plate of... More

We stumbled on this place and it looked inviting. We had no idea what to order, and the server steered us to good choices. Noisy, but you could still hear each other across the tables. Looked like a local place with a lot of students.
