There had been great reviews of the restaurant bout what we got was poor showing and not worth the price. First of all, the dining room was closed - maybe when we made reservations somehow we could have been told that there was to be a loud party there. That meant we were in the bar. The whole set up... I have been a patron at this restaurant over the past 6 years and up until this year it was always great. I guess the chef left? I don't know but a lot of the great items they had on the menu are no longer there or are now totally different, right down to the bread they serve. I still... More

Enjoyed a lovey dinner with friends prior to the ballet just up brightly lit Washington St. The view from our table was delightful as the neighborhood transitions from offices, shops, theaters and gateway to Chinatown with addition of upscale city living. Arriving at 5:30, the restaurant was nearly empty, within an hour it was bustling. Although the service was a... More

Where to start: I had made my reservation about a week in advance and requested a window table - didn't get that but no biggie - it is a small area but it does have a great view of the city. But we were early diners as we were going to a show that evening. First I ordered a bottle... More

The full name is "blu at The Sports Club", and that's the secret to finding the entrance to this place, just a block from Boston Common. Use the sports club entrance, next to the Ritz, then take the elevator to the 4th floor. blu is a small, elegant space, and you get a view of interesting architecture while you dine.... More

I went to Blu for dinner prior to seeing Once at the Opera House. My friend let me sit facing out on the street view. With the lights of the Paramount going off it was really a bright treat reminding me a little of NY's times square. The food was lovely. I had the Mussels which were in a white... More

The prices were reasonable and the food is good. Its on the second floor and we had a table that gave us a beautiful view of the theater district all lit up at night. We had the soup, salad and flatbread for a lighter meal and were quite satisfied.

Been at Blu for Business dinner with colleagues. We had a buffet with different choices of meat fish pasta, veg, salads and dessert. We had also some good cocktails and wine. The food has been appreciated for everyone and was properly cooked and presented. Friendly and attentive service. nice outdoor terrace.

My wife and I went to Blu prior to seeing a show at the Boston Opera House primarily because of its proximity and what looked like a good menu online. We were dissappointed with the quality of the food but our server was excellent and did everything he could to make our dining experience as good as possible. We shared... More
