We managed to find a parking spot next to the restaurant which is fantastic considering how difficult it is to find open air parking lots in downtown Boston. We were ushered in efficiently and seated within minutes. The yum cha ladies promptly push their trollies over ( just like the old days in Hong Kong ) and you get served... More

I love a good Dim Sum and this was some of the best that I have had!!! The service was good, and judging by the number of people in the restaurant at lunch, it is popular with locals too! I can see why!

Worst yum cha or dim sum ever. Let me preface this by saying we have had yum cha in Hong Kong, NYC and Sydney, Aust. We have eaten some pretty amazing yum cha and this was pretty much inedible. I feel sad that a city's Chinatown should put forward such a sad offering.

The prices at Chau Chow City were generally cheap, except some dishes like noodle soups were around $16, which seemed a little high for Chinatown. The restaurant itself was big, clean, and nice. The portions were huge, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was good, not great; it was a little greasy and not extremely... More

Popped in for dinner last night on the recommendation of a travel guide as we were in the area. Waiter was unhelpful and not interested in us at all.Gave no advice on portion sizes or what we would be served. Ordered 2 appetisers, 2 meals and f.rice. Appetisers arrived in no time at all-just started tucking in when secounds later... More

We have made it a habit to visit Chau Chow City for lunch every time we visit Boston, to partake of the very good dim sum served daily till mid-afternoon on its third-floor. Word clearly has spread about the appeal of the dim sum vs. the standard menu (served on the ground floor), as the ground floor was completely empty... More

We stopped at Chau Chow's on a weekday around 1:30 (dim sum is served until 3). It was empty. Service was fast. We had some shrimp dumplings and pork rolls that were REALLY GOOD! Then we decided to order regular lunches, which was a mistake. The order of BBQ spare ribs was super greasy. I tried to order something healthy... More

I now stop here every time I fly into Boston Logan late at night! Open late, and great Chinese. I did not do the dim sum (not sure if they even have it late at night). I ordered their lobster once, and sizzling steak another time. Great food both times! There's free parking in the adjacent (paid) parking lot; but... More

I like this restaurant as the dim sum is quite authentic. The food is quite good and the atmosphere is pretty much what one might see in Hong Kong. The location is nearer to South Station than to China Town and it is difficult to park near the restaurant. Since it is a dim sum wagon experience, the service is... More
