A foodie delight

After walking around the Boston Harbor hotel for a few minutes until being directed to the second floor to the Meritage, we entered the restaurant. For mothers day I don't mind paying more, however, I expect more. This brunch was okay at best. If I was in Richmond VA I could have this brunch with Champagne for half of what I paid here. $99 per person was too much, not even any oysters on the half shell. Another issue was the music was sooo loud... More

Came into Boston to visit some friends who live at the Long Wharf and was treated to a great meal at this recently remodeled restaurant. The service was outstanding and could not be more helpful. The food was up to the finest standards and all six dishes that we sampled were terrific plus the view of the harbor was wonderful... More

We have been spending special occasions at Meritage for years and have never been disappointed. Being able to choose different sized portions so you can try a number of dishes is a real plus. Their menu is varied and everything is fabulous! We highly recommend it. And the view is spectacular as well!

An attractive room and excellent service, but overall a disappointment. Food was just not fabulous which you expect in a restaurant of this caliber. Not helped by the fact that the three 20 something people eating with their family had their cell phones out the entire time. Why is this tolerated in a fine restaurant? We will not go back.

The Christmas Day buffet is a real splurge at $90 per person, but worth it if you can. The restaurant is lovely and has incredible views of the harbor. It was very festive for the holidays. There was an extremely wide array of delicious foods - all beautifully presented and arrayed - to choose from. Everyone including vegetarians, carnivores and... More

We went here on Christmas and had the special Christmas menu. We were surprised by the variety of choices! Food was great, very nicely presented as well. We were nor big fans of the wine pairing. Although the wines were good they did not always match the food. The view is amazing, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone

The entrance to the place can be a little noisy through the bar. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. It appeared to busier downstairs. The ambiance is nice uprstairs...walked into a sitting area, where they check your coats and bags. The dining room was not busy for a Friday night, but steady. The water view is always... More

We have had Sunday brunch at Meritage for family occasions twice and enjoyed the experience both times. The refined menu is well-conceived and the service very attentive. Our waiter, quite a gentleman from Puebla, Mexico, even proved himself an excellent photographer when I handed him my camera for a family portrait. The menu is prix fix with ample choice. The... Within walking distance from long wharf Marriott where we were staying. Beautiful view of harbor. Waiter was fantastic! Actually everyone we met was really pleasant and accommodating. Loved the food and drink that was recommended. Pretty ambience. Would definitely go back!
