We were there for an important anniversary dinner (we've been married a long time), and our reservations were made for us by the hotel concierge who made it a point to tell them it was a special occasion. While we weren't expecting a parade, we were expecting to be treated at least as equals to the other guests. We arrived... More

Dear DCBoomer, Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback regarding your experience on Saturday June 28th. It is certainly disappointing to hear that your experience did not live up to the service and attention to detail we are known for. We regrettably missed an opportunity to make your 40th anniversary truly memorable. We would like you to... More

The Meritage, located at Boston harbor, has very pretty views. It's an upscale, elegant restaurant which some people might say is on the "stuffy" side. We were all dressed up and the men were all wearing jackets. We had a 7:30 reservation but by the time everyone showed up, it was 7:45. By the time we finished our meal, it... More

I want to personally apologize for our delay in between courses, thus creating a longer dining experience than what you were expecting. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will use this feedback to better our restaurant and our guests... More

There is much to enjoy about Meritage. The view is beautiful and the restaurant upscale if not truly elegant. The wine list is extensive and the while many bottles are $200 plus (out of my budget), there are good bottles at reasonable costs (by restaurant standards). The food however, while good, just isn't quite 5 star. My wife's beef was... More

This restaurant is a wonderful upscale dining experience tucked away in the beautiful Boston Harbor Hotel. The wine list is beyond extensive and the menu offers a variety for every palate. The best feature is the ability to select either a small plate or large plate of any dish, which allows you to sample multiple selections without overeating or sharing!... More

Split 6 small plates between two people. Each of them was wonderful. Waiter suggested pairings based on what we liked not a set wine with each dish. That way not only did the wine complement the food it was in a style we liked. Highly recommend.

A bit disappointed by my experience after hearing rave reviews. My drink at the bar was not what I ordered but didn't want to make a scene. We had a lovely window table overlooking the water. Nice wine selection and the small plates were varied, however, they were not really anything to "die for". The diver scallops were wonderful. The... More

My wife flew to Boston on business and I followed along for a weekend getaway. We had the pleasure of dining at the Meritage, choosing 3-small plate courses each. Generally, I'll pick turf over surf any day, however being in Boston, I went with the local fare. Wow, what an experience: Clearly better than anything I've had in California. Well... More

We were here over Christmas break with a group of 8, and were there for 2 and a half hours. We were there for the outstanding view, great food, and the chance to converse with the whole family. The tables are spaced far enough apart so your space feels private, yet we could talk easily across our table of 8... More

Went here for Christmas eve dinner. The 4 course meal was decent, not overwhelming though. I expected more for the price we paid. My wife ordered filet mignon well done with sauce on the side as 3rd course. A server other than our waiter delivered it. We noticed it had sauce covering it but thought oh well. However the steak... I have been here a few times and every time is a touch more delightful than the last. The view of the Boston Harbor, the wine list, the menu, the service...All just devine. Truly one of the best dining experieces in Boston.
