Worst meal we had in Boston, and ranks up there with the worst all time. Don't waste your money just because the place is on the water and looks bright and festive. more

My family of 4 headed up to Boston for a long weekend trip. It was our mindset to get some lobstahhh while we were there. After some local recommendations, we ended up at the Barking Crab. We are from Maryland, so we know seafood. To get to the point. It was very good. My wife had the salmon BLT sandwich,... more

With a name like Barking Crab, there's definitely going to be a lot of seafood options here. It's very casual with a paper towel roll on the picnic bench for your hand wiping needs. There are lots of appetizer options, including peel and eat shrimp and crayfish, and entrees are extensive as well. I had the catch of the day,... more

Go for the bar and atmosphere, but don't go for the service. The service that my group had was absolutely atrocious. The waiter delivered half of us our food on time, but brought to the table the other food 30 minutes after. Some of us enjoyed our food, some of us vowed never to go back. more

This gem of a restaurant on Long Wharf is a must if you like Seafood. From the outside it doesn't look much and inside you are treated to a shacklike experience with paper plates and plastic knives and forks. This allows the prices of the exceptional food to be kept low and also adds to the experience. My husband and... more

Recommend the patio first of all which apparently just opened. The patio is sitting right on the water with boats in sight and the city skyline. The food and drinks were excellent and the music was nice as well. We went in the middle of an afternoon which worked out well and we walked from the freedom trail along the... more

The idea of the Barking Crab is great. A clam shack in the middle of the city. But it reality it stinks. The picnic benches in the outdoor seating area are charming, and the idea of sharing a massive table with others is actually quite cool. But the whole place is G-R-E-A-S-Y. They don't use detergent when wiping the tables... more

A lot of fried food on the menu, but in the summer time, this place can't be beat for happy hour drinks more

Have been here twice on visits to Boston and love the low key laid back atmosphere. The food is very tasty and service is fast and friendly but we were a bit surprised when the bill came - it was probably more than we would have expected to pay. We would probably go there again but would check what the... more
