Great atmosphere!!!

I ordered the smaller grilled lobster.. it was a bad choice as there wasnt any meat in the legs! (I'm a chinese, we devour our food. . ) anyway, food is ok, wasn't fantastic. However, the atmosphere here is great! Come after work around 6pm, the after-work-drinks atmosphere is jus fun fun fun... read more

The title says it all. My friend and I visited the Barking Crab after a visit to the ICA this May. On the walk over, there seemed to be great crowd folks between mid 20s to mid 30s, which was great for us. When we walked up, we noticed that there were about 10 people or more standing around, so... Several friends recommended. So disappointed. We went for lunch and split crab legs and the fisherman's platter. Nothing was fresh and most of the items in the fried platter were lukewarm if not actually cold, but still dripping with grease. I am not one to complain about service but it was slow. We never got our appetizer and had to... More

we ate here after visiting the Boston Children's Museum and it was a perfect meal for us and our 4 year old grandson, who loved the fish and chips. The chowder was excellent, as were the crab cakes. Casual and fun!!!

This was our first trip to Boston and the restaurant was recommended to us by a few locals and we liked that it was listed as reasonably priced in the tour book. We were so disappointed!! First off for the prices they charge it would have been nice to get a glass of water in a real glass and not... More

The food was amazing, the atmosphere had a beach-harbor feel to it and the staff was friendly. It was a bit pricey and I noticed that it did not appear to be a place where the locals ate, so it's unlikely that my lobster roll was as good as there is to find in Boston, but it was very tasty... It's a pretty nice spot right off of the water, and I kind of like the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. But the food was not very good and it was very expensive. We had a fairly modest lunch and ended up paying $75. I would be curious to try some of the more expensive dishes to see if they are better, but... More

My mom came to visit me when I lived in Boston and the bed and breakfast she stayed at recommended we go here. We took a cab here and walked around after. It was chilly but it was fun to eat out side and by the water. If your a fan of fried seafood this a great place. It tasted... More

Very popular place - we heard about it from the Old Town Trolley driver. Apparently got its name from Guy Fieri - the Food Network critic. Great atmosphere, but had to wait about 1/2 hr to be seated. A Saturday during a holiday weekend, so no problem. Food was very good - lobster roll, crab sliders and snow crab legs.... More

My friends and I had been planning this trip to Boston for a while and so the Barking Crab was super planned. I'm a huge seafood fanatic and was ridiculously excited to try this place. COMPLETE TOURIST TRAP. This place is ridiculously overpriced for the service and taste you get. Essentially, whatever you get here, you can completely do on... More
