The food, service, and atmosphere were very conducive for enjoying the time with my wife and no one else! The holidays call for Les Zygo as Rx. We are on the bar side but had a window table and full dinners. Nice pace. Fair pricing. We are definitely coming back. And to enjoy the music on the other side.

The service made us feel quite paid-attention-to, which is good when one is hosting a business lunch. The food was delicious, especially the chicken marsala. While I generally don't like cream added to this recipe, Les Zygomates made me glad they didn't care about my preferences. It was amazing (even though it caused me to need a nap after lunch).... Great ambience and food! Had the halibut wrapped in prosciutto that was delish! Nice piano/harp band. Great drinks. Lovely time. Only negative is that they closed early (11:30pm).

Had a few drinks with clients and colleagues at the end of a recent business visit to Boston at Les Zygomates. The Italian Sausage Pizza was excellent as was the Charcuterie tasting plate. We all thought that the food was very high quality for 'bar food'... Indeed, the whole evening was really good. Having been here several times in the... More

Went on a Saturday, and a weekday. live jazz was pretty good, service excellent and unhurried. We had the lobster crepe, tuna tartare for appetizers, duck and scallop dishes for main course, all were excellent, great sauces, food was well prepared but a tad bit on the salty side. We had the profiterole and flourless chocolate cake, I thought the... More

This was a pleasant treat. The atmosphere was low-key with good live jazz. There were so many good things on the menu it was hard to choose, both appetizers and entrees. The beet appetizer was tasty and the bouillabaisse was excellent, though light on the shellfish, as were all the portions. Great wine list and the Beaujolais was extraordinaire. Would... More

Busy Saturday night. Great date night atmosphere. Live jazz playing. Appetizer was very slow to come out, but was delicious. Entrees was more timely, and also delicious. We ordered a chocolate cake for dessert, and it never was served. We complained to our server, who promised it was coming right out, but 10 minutes later still no cake. We weren't... More

Mediocre dishes, very slow services and Expensive. This is best description for this restaurant. I ordered steak and it was very mediocre, plate contained steak and only french fries!! No vegtable or mashed potato or a delicious sauce. They brought our dessert with delay and every one at the table in different time. I ordered a drink and i think they forgot about... More

Les Zygomates is a favorite of mine for lunch. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is always good. Most lunch entrees run around $15.00, which is a bit higher than normal for the neighborhood. But it's worth every penny. Service is great. I recommend this restaurant.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
