Really Good Choice Before Game

Had a very pleasant experience. Good Mai Tais, noodles and sushi. Service was friendly and very good value. Not much for ambiance but will definitely return.

I've been going to both Billy Tse locations for 15 years or so, although not frequently. It was always great Chinese food. Not any more. An early dinner here on New Year's Eve was horrible. Chicken fingers were 90% fried batter, 10% chicken. General Gao's chicken was like chicken tenders is thick soy sauce. Lo Mein with tiny shrimp and... More

When we walked in only a few tables were occupied, and we doubted about staying or leaving. We decided to stay and give it a try, and it was a great decision. We ordered each a miso soup, which was perfectly prepared, to warms us from the chilly Boston weather. As a main course we ordered the sticky thai noodles... More

We had the chicken chow mein, which was bland and boring. The crispy and spicy basil chicken was okay, but not good enough to take leftovers home. Won't go back.

Ordered the 'special' steamed cod with ginger and scallions. Was sooooo fresh, perfectly cooked and presented. Definitely will visit again. Portions are medium and pricey for one diner, but not for more. Yum.

Ordered take-out sushi while staying on the waterfront. Affordable, delicious and gluten-free. Delivery was also available.

Billy Tse's is conveniently located on Commercial street and it has outfoor seating, but the food is not great, and it's overpriced. I do like their scorpion bowl when there's a big group. It is a fun spot to watch a game with a big group. Their sushi is better than their Chinese.

Unfortunately it was the greasiest food I have ever seen. The sesame chicken appeared to have been fried twice. The pork fried rice had no taste so you have to drown it in sweet sauce. The beef teriyaki and chicken fingers were ice cold. I have to wrap the egg roll in two paper towels to remove all the grease.... More

Can sit outside if find room and weather is good. The inside is interesting: somehow this place feels like original of more than 50-70 years ago, with many types of restaurants and events having taken place. Something between old, original, antique with a certain style. Certainly it does not look like the typical sushi place. The sushi's are ok, the... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
