Nice place for lunch.

Today was a beautiful sunny day, so I decided to eat outside at Billy Tse's. It's on a good people-watching street in the north end (little Italy, of sorts). I had a spicy salmon and a roe shrimp roll. Both were good enough (although I'm a rice snob, and this seemed a little too firm & sweet... read more

Unfortunately it was the greasiest food I have ever seen. The sesame chicken appeared to have been fried twice. The pork fried rice had no taste so you have to drown it in sweet sauce. The beef teriyaki and chicken fingers were ice cold. I have to wrap the egg roll in two paper towels to remove all the grease.... More

Can sit outside if find room and weather is good. The inside is interesting: somehow this place feels like original of more than 50-70 years ago, with many types of restaurants and events having taken place. Something between old, original, antique with a certain style. Certainly it does not look like the typical sushi place. The sushi's are ok, the... More

Some food is fine...very uneven...it depends on who's cooking that night...some food is very greasy...some dishes have very little taste or are too fried..It is a crap shoot on what you get for the night...However his prices were once reasonable and now they are not...Food is just OK nothing special

I really wanted Shrimp w/Lobster sauce (brown w/gound pork) that I cannot get anywhere in VA/MD/DC area. Billy Tse's was highly rated on tripadvisor. We decided to try it. The restaurant is 'tired' and needs a serious update/renovation. My husband liked the hot n' sour soup - a 3 1/2. He had the scallops w/garlic sauce and rated those a... More

While walking round north end, Italian neighborhood, you may go a street away too far and end looking at the waterfront. Then, if you look to one side you find this Asian restaurant... If you get over the shock of a Asian restaurant in the Italian hood you may go inside an be surprise by an excellent sushi bar. Surprises... More

Was direct to Billy's by a north end resident who said this is the place for Chinese. He was correct! Whole family raved about how good it was. The prices are moderate, service was fine and food was great. There was a large screen tv in the dinning room which seemed odd but the final four playoffs were on so I... More
