We showed up at 5:30 for dinner not realizing Gems does not open for dinner until six. A Staff member suggested the Hub Pub next door for a drink in the meantime. Drinks at the Hub Pub were $5 for house wine...at Gem's house wine was $11/glass...just saying... Returned later for dinner and we were seated in the bar area... More

GEM is the place to be for brunch and especially on Sundays. Sundays for Brunch and partying all day long. The food is incredible here, breakfast pizza and meatball sliders are a must! The service was great, atmosphere is very classy too! An all around great experience and is a must especially on Sundays for an amazing time!

I ate here after searching Trip Advisor for Italian restaurants that were between my business meeting and the walk back to my hotel. This was one of the only choices, but I'm glad I went. I had the spaghetti and meatballs... The whipped ricotta on top was SO GOOD. I would go back just for that. I also had a... More

Hi, Thank you so much for your glowing review! We always love hearing about a positive dining experience at GEM. You said it was near your hotel, so I'm assuming that you're not from the area, but I do hope that you'll join us again next time you're in Boston. The whipped ricotta will be waiting! Best, Shaina Dennis Marketing... More

Gem is a night club with food offerings such as small plates and a few entrees, not really a true restaurant. Nice décor...it’s a bit dark, but very cozy. Staff was young and very friendly and helpful. We had a drink and there is a good size bar...lots of wines & cocktails on the menu. Tried the flavorful Sangria...but it... More

This is a review of the restaurant side, although we have been to the lounge/club side and night and its a pretty hot scene right now (Spring 2013). Our service was fantastic. They were attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine selections. The ambiance was perfect (quiet enough where we could hear each other, but not other people's conversations...). The... More

The marketing of this place exceeds the reality. The decor is tired looking bordello out of a John Wayne movie. I had the sea bass, which was nothing special, a Jadot burgundy, again nothing special, but the pizza appetizer was plentiful and tasty. The wine list by the glass is extremely limited, and the prices by the bottle were in... More

I recently had a corporate party at Gem and the service was exceptional and the place it self had a great feel.

We went here on 2 separate nights. The first night we enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the bar. The food was delicious and very well priced. The cocktail menu was so fun and the drinks amazing. The second night we did diner and the entrees were out of this world. The value was wonderful and the service both nights... More

We went on a recommendation from the Orpheum Theatre website before a show. Wat a great little place! Nicely laid out, beautiful bar area and hands down the best Sea Bass I have had in years. Highly recommended!

Kennedy's is located near downtown crossing right off the common. Its location is great, but its a little hard to find because is off on a smaller side street. I think this contributes to it being a quieter and less busy place for post-work drinks, which is one of the reasons I like going here. They have two big dining... More
