try the biscuits with the wiped honey butter

The biscuits with the wiped honey butter are my absolut fave. The pork belly and briquet was good and the souses delicious. As well I would highly recommend the cold mixed greens as a side dish. All in all we enjoyed our dinner and loved the atmosphere there.

I recently visited this place after hearing great reviews online and from locals. I now understand why Gordon gave Tif the ax from top chef. One would think how can you mess up fried chicken? Or at least I did anyways coming from a culinary background; I mean every kitchen has a thermometer. The first order that came out the... More

We had heard raves about this place and came away a little dissatisfied. The ice tea is very good. The barbecue sandwiches were mushy and too cumbersome to eat. The slaw was little more than chunky lettuce with a unimaginative sauce. The ribs, however, were "fall off the bone" good with excellent sauce. This is also the first barbecue place... More

The pulled pork was plentiful. Both food and drink portions are large. But. The flavors of southern pork barbecue beat the bland pork here. Sauces are on the table, but it should have happened in the preparation. Exciting to see collards as sides but where are the fries? The pulled pork sandwich was so soggy it fell apart at the... I have always wanted to go down south and eat all their BBQ. This is one of the closest things I have gotten to that. I love the ribs there and all the different sauces they have. The biscuits are to die for and are addicting, so be careful or you will fill up before your meal gets to you.... More

The food is not that great, and is very expensive. The place is very crowded with little space to sit. We paid $60/head for a party of 12 and we did not have a great food. Not worth it.

Took the boys to Sweet Cheeks for a "last meal" prior to my son's departure to Paris. Had a reservation for 4 and were seated right away. Very crowded and noisy on a Thursday night. Waiter was friendly and initially quite attentive, but as the dinner wore own he became side tracked with other tables. Started with the much hailed... More

Went to Sweet Cheeks after doing a quick on-line search for Boston BBQ. We were not disappointed. We were traveling with our adult kids, and looking for something to appeal to everyone. We had reserved in advance and we were ushered to our table as soon as we arrived. It was a busy dinner hour (6:30 ish) all tables were... More

We loved the ribs.....as good as we've had in the MidWest. Too bad they don't include sides with the entrees. Even the biscuits are separate and pricey.....and way too big if you're having an entree. The baked beans could have been tastier and less tough.....more like Boston Baked Beans would have been good! But this was a great place to... More

We enjoyed our dinner here, but not so much because the meats were any better than other BBQ spots we’ve been to, but rather, it’s because Sweet Cheeks offers a BBQ experience, not just good food - it offers up the whole package, offering the components of a dinner out at a fun but elevated spot - there’s lots of...
