We went to Sweet Cheeks Q late saturday night, tired of looking for a place to dine near Boylston St. By the way there are several great places there. But we decided to go for BBQ. Been to many BBQ's all across the country and did not know there was one in Boston until we found sweet cheeks Q. Tried the 3 staples - brisket, beans and mac n cheese, all delicious! Also, they happened to have Bantam Cider (very hard to find, only avail in some spots on the east coast) - so that made... More

As far as BBQ goes, let's just say I eat it a lot, all over the country. Sweet Cheeks is decent, but no where near Texas BBQ. I couldn't get over the price versus portion size. (except for the iced tea, served in large quart glasses) It is very expensive in my opinion and not worth the money. It's not... More

Close to Fenway - a bar with good BBQ. Dry rub - sometimes great, sometimes kind of dry. Slopped onto a tray with paper - so don't expect anything fancy. If the BBQ was consistently at it's best (which it's not) - it would be one of the best places for ribs in Boston. However, the much lauded and generously... More

After financing the 2015 Boston Marathon we were looking to refuel and escape the pouring rain and freezing temperatures. Sweet Cheeks Q is a upmarket bar / restaurant that serves great BBQ and Beer. Their menu is great and we enjoyed Sweet Cheeks Q's good value BBQ Platters. Have to say that their brisket was the best that I have... More

Yes, my Missus and I are from Texas. Yes, we're also Top Chef fans. And, yes, we still went with skepticism first and foremost. Because, cliched as it may read, we do take our barbecue seriously. I happily report this is some of the best we've had. We liked the brisket AND the service better than Mueller's. I work too... More

Recommended by our hotel concierge as a good local restaurant. Looked like a place visited by the natives. Good barbecue.

Whilst it is pretty tough to get a booking here (particularly on a game day!) we managed to get a walk-in immediately. Nice selection of drinks, showing some character to match the décor and general attitude of the place. We went for the three meat plate and it was more than enough food. The brisket is some of the best... More

Great BBQ walking distance from Fenway! The place reaks of BBQ! You can go from a sandwich to a platter! Nothing fancy just a good BBQ place with cold beverages. Service was quick so no waiting and the servers are friendly. I recommend the brisket either platter or sandwich! Sweet Cheeks hits this one out of the park! (I know,... More

There are reasons why some restaurants don't deserve 5 stars. Charging $5 for a soda with no refill is reason alone. Some of the food is good, but not all of it. Pulled pork, briskets, the sauces and even the salads were all very good......the pork ribs not so much. Dinner with drinks was $40 per person. This was my... More
