Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

Legal seafood is everywhere in the Boston area. It has been rated as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area and is well recommended. The menus offers many fresh dishes, food quality is good, and as a chain restaurant, you know what you are getting. I recommend trying Legal at one point when you are in the area.... More

Made reservations here for a birthday lunch celebration recently. Speaking of which, reservations are probably a good idea given how busy this place was. We mentioned to the friendly hostess that we were celebrating a birthday and she graciously gave us a window table. The views of the harbor are fantastic. Although we were glad to be right at the... Legal seafood was rated as one of the best seafood restaurants In the U.S. and now I know why. The seafood and fish were SO fresh it was almost like they took it off the boat and then served it. There is such a difference in really fresh fish over stuff that has been around a while. The service was... More

I don't like spending that kind of money for the service we had. I'm not sure if the waiter was to busy or what but I hate feeling like we are being avoided just bc I didn't dress to the nines. I have to do that everyday for work so should not have to for vacation.

Dining at Legal Harborside on the first floor should be a "must-do" for every Boston visitor. The setting is incredible with a modern space and kitchen but with a menu which includes items from the original Inman Square shop. The menu is extensive and fairly priced. The service is warm and efficient. The atmosphere is lively and the food is... More

Legal Harborside-Floor 2 is an elegant, beautifully sited restaurant serving delicious, well-prepared food. Although he restaurant is in the Legal Seafood family, it is a departure from most of its usual places. The Harborside is ON the water with a 180º view of Boston Harbor and Logan Airport in the distance. The bar is excellent, the long kitchen--gleaming with copper... More

We have been enjoying Legal Seafoods for years in Boston and also at Washington National Airport. (I was disappointed when the airport restaurant closed but so delighted to see it reopen). We were in Boston for a large professional meeting and had a late lunch on the last day of the confernece at Legal Harborside, a new Legal venue for... More

Special night out destination. Warmly received just inside the front door. A long wait for table was forecast and we were offered the bar on the third floor. Again warmly greeted by staff there. Comfortable seating with a fantastic view, despite the cold, stormy night outside. Prompt and professional service with expensive prices for wine but not outside of expectations... More

It was interesting that I had the lobster roll for lunch at Legal Seafood Harborside and at the airport. The one at the airport had more crab and a better taste! The fries were also crisper.

Was up in the Gulf of St. Lawrence for about 3 weeks, PEI, Halifax, Sydney, saguenay, functionally on a Lobster Tour. Stopped through Boston on the way to Bermuda, and popped in to this monument to culinary excellence. 3-lb stuffed lobster, veggies, bread, chowder, etc. for about $55 USD, spectacular in every way. I took pictures of the creature, even.... More
