Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

Arrived by boat at Legal Harborside (charge for docking :( ), we weren't able to snag a outdoor table on a sunny, Saturday afternoon but enjoyed an inside table in view of lots of street activity. The fish tacos were fresh (of course-it's Legal!) and tasty. Our waiter was excellent! I look forward to returning soon.

Our hotel recommended Legal Harborside for its great view and food to celebrate our anniversary. We weren't disappointed! The food was delicious and we had a special table overlooking the water. The waiting staff were a little stern in comparison with the other eating experiences on our trip but they were well informed and helpful. The special treat of our... More

A great restaurant for celebrating an occasion or just going out for lunch/dinner. We went because our family from Norway was visiting - and we all absolute loved our dinners. The presentation alone was enough to make me come back. Our server was very professional and served well also. The prices are higher compared to other restaurants- we paid around... More

We came upon the restaurant by chance and loved it. There was a 1.5-2 hour wait for table seating but we opted for the bar area which still had a great view of the harbor and sat down immediately. The grilled shrimp and clam chowder were very good!.

We decided to have dinner here as it is right next door to the Blue Hills Pavilion where we were going to see Sarah McLachlan at 8 p.m. on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 6:30 and arrived just a few minutes before. We literally waited only about one minute and were thrilled to see our table was outside... More

Great drinks- nice view, nice atmosphere. Delicious lobster rolls, mini beef burgers, and clams & oysters on the half shell. Large shrimp cocktail was awesome! A bit loud; party atmosphere but that's okay.

My wife got reservations for birthday dinner on the second floor. We arrived early to enjoy a drink on the 'exclusive' third floor open bar. We were sent back down because we didn't wait in line. When we arrived back at the second floor a waiter came to our bar table and asked if he could help. His name was... More

There were three of us and we all had excellent meals--something on the menu for everyone. Great views by the water; friendly staff; lots of fun. A little noisy at times, but that's part of the fun atmosphere downstairs and at the bar.

Open air, wonderful breeze - toms of energy especially the roof top bar with tremendous water views. Good consistent Legal Seafood fare as you would expect from this corporate restaurant. This is one of my favorite places in Boston nevertheless (never give 5 star ratings to corp restaurants).

Legal Harborside provided a great view of the harbor on a very comfortable summer evening. Starting with wine on the 2nd floor deck I and dining with a large group of business associates we had wonderful food. I had the cod and it was prepared perfectly, flaky and seemed to melt in my mouth. The meal finished with Boston Cream... More
