Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

Seating outside is the best bet , but indoors is also fine.Menu is extensive for seafood. Not expensive at all.Casual and cozy!

Last visit was August 2014. We go several times a year, and take our out of state visitors to the first floor casual restaurant. The second floor dinning room is a white tablecloth, upscale venue and the third floor is an open air bar popular with the 20 something crowd. You should make reservations if you go on the weekends... More

The bar on the 3rd floor has a great view. The drinks are great and the sushi is pretty good. One of the challenges can be getting a table outside the enclosed area. I would suggest making it slightly before offices close if you plan on getting here. Otherwise, standing outdoors is not a bad option either.

This is where the hip folks go to eat and drink. Unlike it's sister in Copley Sq or several other malls, this is the cool place. They have a great raw bar on the first floor and the roof is ab-fab for a drink. The view is perfect and it can be very romantic as well since they have a... More

We love this restaurant and have had lunch here several times. It is popular, so reserve early for dinner. The seafood is wonderful and there have been some offerings prepared differently or not available in other Legal restaurants we've visited, e.g., seafood filled artichoke bottoms and mussels in a Caribbean broth. There are many options on the menu from lobster,... More

3 great spots, one location. First floor, traditional Legal Seafood New England fare. I always get the lobster roll and fries, but it is all consistently great! Second floor, fine dining with a view! Great seafood dishes, taking the Legal Seafood quality and putting added fine touches to the freshest seafood anywhere! Third Floor - great for drinks and appetizers.... More

As a vegetarian the menu on floor 1 is the best. Floor 2 and 3 should allow vegetarians to order from the floor 1 menu or put a few more of the vegetarian options on their menus. If I am picking the place myself I would be aware of this issue and eat on floor 1, but with work gatherings/groups/other... More

Legal Seafoods is an institution in the northeast. But this location, on the water is superb. The open restaurant is airy and opens out to the Boston Harbor with a large area of seating outside. even when you are inside, on a good day, you feel as if you are outside and many of the door s are open. On... More

Though it is walk in only, the third floor area is worth it for the views and alfresco drinking and eating. We spent a great afternoon with drinks and food and enjoyed the very positive vibe of the bar area. Remember that the third floor is sushi dishes. For traditional legal fare, head to the first floor after enjoying the... More
