Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

All Legals always deliver on great seafood. This location is a favorite, though very noisy. Love sitting outside or on the roof deck. We live in the suburbs , but find it fun to go into Boston for this location. If you are a tourist, this one with the view is the most fun. Very relaxed atmosphere

Legal Seafoods Flagship restaurant projecting out into the main dock area, commands the best view in Boston. I'll try to address other posters comments. It doesn't pretend to be neither a Gastrobar with tiny morsels of food, nor a Diner with a belly buster experience. Rather excellent food, as expected the freshest of fresh seafood based, some fusion and presented... More

Went to lunch during vacation.... food and service were amazing!!! loved it sooo much, we went back a second time. The waiters/waitresses are for the most part college students. They are friendly, courteous and a pleasure to talk to. We can't say enough about this restaurant.... Totally impressed!!

Had a large family group of sixteen to celebrate my wife's 75th birthday. Service and food was excellent in the beginning but slowed down as the meal progressed. The restaurant was very busy and our waitress was given responsibility for a large number of tables, causing a pretty fair wait between the main course and dessert. Also, I ordered a... More

Sat outside and had a great view of the boats going in and out of the harbor. No wait on a Thursday late afternoon. Had the fish and chips which were perfectly crispy and steamy hot and the Anna's Baked Boston Scrod with farro salad. Great place for a late lunch.

We stopped by for a late lunch. Bloody Mary quite good and Harpoon IPA fine. Fish and chips: neither crisp, fish not flavorful, fries tepid. Pizza with prosciutto burrata peach and arugula very flavorful but soggy center (common problem). $49 with tip. Sandwich shop across street might have been a better bet at half the price.

Being a lover of Legal Seafoods overall I was expecting something spectacular from the Harborside restaurant. Upon arrival we were told that each floor has different menu's, since I had visitors with me I wanted to go up to the roof deck, this menu is VERY limiting, it's primarily seafood except the Edamame. Luckily everyone with me was fond of... More

We went to Legal Harborside before the Steely Dan concert and sat outside (before the huge rainstorm) and once again this place is great! Had a number of great apps and all enjoyed their entree's. Highly recommend! Love the Tempura beans, and the friend clams are always good.

I'd return, but there were some service issues that detracted from the experience. Very noisy, ("energetic" is what Open Table calls it) but a terrific place to take a group, especially an out of town group. Boats burbling can be a distraction, but usually short-lived. Great dirty vodka martini.
