Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

If you like seafood go here...if you dont ..then why go here? Its consistentkly one of the Best, so usually you will need a reservation and then a samll wait. Even though its busy, service is good and eager...i would liked to have tried it all.

Growing up in New England I have a great affinity for shellfish particularly clams. Now living a 1000 miles away, I always get clams whenever I go home. Without a doubt, Legal had THE BEST fried, whole-bellied clams I have ever had. I ate there twice, once just a snack (super clam chowder) and then dinner. Both times that weekend... More

Fortunately my traveling companion sat next to someone on the plane who said if we wanted to eat at Legals Harborside get a reservation. It was for 7 PM on a Thursday and the place, as noted by others, was hopping! We ate on the first floor after about a 10 minute wait after 7 PM. We had a nice... More

At Legal Harborside we had reserved a table to dine in the ground floor restaurant but switched to the finer dining first floor restaurant on arrival.....as the place was so packed out that our table wasn't ready. The entire, beautiful three storey restaurant and bars were absolutely buzzing. It felt like New Years Eve......what a great place. With three children... More

Went there for a business dinner. This is a 3 level restaurant with a bar on 1 and 3 for more causal dining and a fine dining one on level 2. The food and presentation was slightly better than regular Legal so its probably one of the better fish restaurants now in Boston. They also did have 2 meat entries... More

We waited 30 minutes to get our table even though we had reserved. Waiters didn't have enough information about the menu, jam became homos with our waiter. Place is large and has a nice view. Food is average.

We've eaten at every Legal's in and around the Boston area, and this is by far THE worst. Loud noisy restaurant doesn't have a padded surface, rug or curtain to soften the sound. It is essentially a big boisterous bar, which is fine, but we thought we'd made reservations at an actual restaurant. We didn't even have seats, just benches... More

Five of us for lunch on a Friday afternoon after traipsing through the Flower Show and leaving disappointed...our lunch more than made up for it...our table was perfectly situated for water views...the wine was fairly priced and excellent...our healthy diner chose a Caesar Salad with shrimp and gave it a 5 out of 10...our next healthiest chose the beautifully presented... I have been going to Legal Seafood since I was a teenager. I remember my Uncle taking me to Legal Seafood at the Burlington Mall for spicy Fish and Chips. I can't think of any restaurant where I know the owners names(besides friends restaurants). When my wife and left Hawaii for this trip one of my goals was to go... More
