Description: The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

We ate on the first floor - I was glad to see a different menu from the "chain" portion of their restaurants around town. It felt very special, especially since we were lucky enough to get a great window seat looking out at the habour, at sunset! Good service despite how busy it clearly was, and thankful it was open... I absolutely loved Legal's in the Harborside. We had such a great, fun time. We started with cocktails on the roof top. A fantasitc venue, tons of people, lots of places to sit. We were lucky enough to find a comfortable, patio couch to sit on. I had some white wine; my friend had a Moscow Mule. We got there... More

My sister and I came to this restaurant on a recommendation. We were not disappointed. The mussels were delicious in a curry broth. Our other appetizer was fried clams and tasty. The setting was perfect on the water and the staff helpful and happy. The third floor on the roof was filled with young folks enjoying cocktails and and sushi.... More

Legal Harborside has 3 floors. Floor 1 features mainly seafood; Floor 2 has other specialties like sushi; and Floor 3 is where the rooftop bar is located. We chose to sit at Level 1, adjacent to an outdoor patio, with direct ocean-view. Everything went smoothly until we tried to order a bottle of wine. The waitress wanted to check our... More

A group of us decided to use Legal Harborside as the site for a social gathering, and were recommended to use the third floor. What a view and setting. There are three floors at this Legal Seafood flagship location with each level having a distinct identity. The third floor is known for its drinks and appetizers. Shannon, our server, was... More

Legal offers tasty seafood at a decent price. The place gets quite busy, so make sure you have a reservation. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have to wait for a table, enjoy the busy bar area. Overall an enjoyable dinner experience.

Asked for a recommendation from hotel manager and we got Legal Harborside for more than food but for the experience. He was right on the money, There was a 2 hour wait on this Friday night but with the help of Lizzie we scored a table in about a half hour. This 3 story monster restaurant was humming with activity.... More

This albuquerque resident is starved for great sea food and we found it 2000 miles from home! Friends picked us up at the cruise ship terminal and in the horrible rain of july 4 drove to Legal for a memorable lunch. We all had different dishes, but every one of us thought the food was . We had a great... More

I'm not from the East coast, but I expect a lobster roll to have some flavor. This roll had an adequate amt of lobster, but no sauce???? Bland, bland, bland. Good wine selection. Good oysters. Fun place. Make a reservation!!!!...or be prepared to wait, regardless of night if the week. They're always busy!

Four different meals, and all very taste. Dispite the line. Outside, got seated very quickly. We dined on the first level, more casual dining. 2nd floor was more upscale, and the third floor was a night club, hence the line outside. Be sure to inquire with hostess, instead of standing in line. Service was great!
