The second floor dining room at Legal Harborside offers a focused menu of cuisine prepared with sensible creativity for celebratory eating and private dining events. Chefs Robert Fathman and Rich Vellante helm the kitchen. Complementing the dinner menu is an aperitif cocktail list and a unique selection of artisan wines, each produced from a specific terroir representing some of the world’s most classic regions, from family-owned vineyards. Each of the vintages is unique to Legal Harborside within Massachusetts. The design of the restaurant takes full advantage of the harbor view and is reminiscent of a ship’s dining room, with a curved rosewood ceiling and glossy black columns inspired by the mast of a ship that anchor the space. A lounge off the grand spiral staircase and two oceanfront rooms, with recessing doors for privacy, are available for special events. An intimate patio with outdoor fireplace offers dining and drinks in-season.

Being on the water the Legal Harborside has excellent views over the water. The service was prompt and mega enthusiastic. The food is typical Boston seafood. Mostly it was simply prepared like the steamed lobster. It was good but not great. The standout was the Steamers of clams in white wine sauce. Prices are pretty high for what you get.... More

We have dined at Legal Seafood Harborside in the past. Great views of the water and good food -- usually. My husband had the lobster pot pie on a recent visit and said it was good. My fish and chips didn't taste like anything and not cooked well -- not sure what type of fish it was, but suggest they... More

My friend and I were visiting Boston this past weekend and decided to kick our first night off with some Legal Seafoods at the Harborside. At first glance, we thought it'd be a mediocre experience. There was a look and feel of your typical mid-high end chain restaurant. It was big and busy, and we were expecting to have to... More

The last time I was here it was sensational. Sadly this time it was not. Very ordinary at the best. Seems to have lost its edge. More commerce less care. The service was poor and slow. Shocked that it has gone downhill so much

We went to Legal Harborside a couple of years ago while we were at a conference and it was great, so of course we wanted to return when I found out that we had another conference in Boston. This place has totally changed its menu and it's awful. What a total waste of money and time. There are so many... More

Read the reviews, but wasn't overly impressed. Was very loud and quite overpowering ..didn't think it was relaxed and the food was average. Personally I think there are nicer places to eat...

Bustling place with efficient service. I sat at the bar and watched the cooks do an amazing job. The calamari was sweet and soft; couldn't been done any better. The special, sole stuffed with shrimp over rice and smothered in chowder, was terrific; very delicate taste.

I have eaten at Legal Seafoods several times and Legal Harborside is very similar in quality and selections. What sets it apart is the ambiance and the lovely view of the harbor while you are dining. Whis it had been warmer than 25 degrees so I could have taken a seat outside. We had to wait a bit to be... More

While visiting Boston we went to Legal Harborside. The food and service was good just like I remembered. We did have to send the calamari back because it was not hot. The server removed it right away and promptly returned with another hot order. I had a very good drink called a Cucumber Cooler. Very refreshing!
