I miss this place

Great meat pies. Used to work nearby and on Saturdays we would usually order from there. I usually got a sausage roll and a a beef meat pie. Was never disappointed with the selection.

Go sit in the harbor and enjoy an Aussie pie covered in mash with a cold beer or cider while watching soccer and taking in the views. On a rainy day, grab one of the board games or cards against humanity from the counter and enjoy the afternoon before catching a water taxi across to the modern art museum.

For an Aussie on the road for three months and still three weeks to go before hitting Aussie soil again, this was a dream. Two words - sausage roll. If you don't know what that is, get to KO for one or come to OZ...whichever is easier. Either will end up a delicious adventure.

Good, friendly service every time. The menu is interesting with specials that change. I can always count on having a good meal here. Sitting outside in good weather makes it even more enjoyable.

Stopped for take-out on the way home from a day out & about in Southie. I had read about the place and seen tv bits on Chronicle and was interested. 4 pies and 2 sides ran about $35 which I thought at the time to be a bit expensive. They package the pies with heating instructions and staff was very... More

I thought coming there was risky because they serve mainly meat pies.. I ended up ordering one because that's its speciality from Australian culture. No regrets! The crust is perfectly made. I ordered beef stew pie and it was really good. The staff was friendly as well. Good service. So it is strongly recommended!

We celebrated my son-in-laws birthday here last Sunday. What a unique restaurant in a very unique area of Boston. The place is very casual. It features Australian food including traditional Australian meat and vegetarian pies. Burgers and seafood are also available along with a fine selection of beers. We had the Lamb shank pie. It was very good and reasonable... More

I don't know of any other Australian eateries in the area, so I was very curious about KO Pies. The East Boston location is right in the shipyard. You can drive right up to it, but you have to acknowledge the shipyard gatekeeper. It's sort of tucked away but it just adds to the unique atmosphere. Try the regular meat... More
