Description: Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man, the first restaurant entirely...
Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man, the first restaurant entirely devoted to chocolate, provides a "chocolate mood:" a person being surrounded by huge bricks, candles, pralines, colorful toy tins and crates filled with cocoa beans. Each person"s chocolate experience is exclusive to the individual as it brings out different emotions in each and every person. This can be experienced at our retail shop and dining room. In addition to our unique chocolate, we also offer delicious savory foods. Whether it is our famous Brenner Burger or Mac & Cheese, there will be something for everyone in the group!

OMG! Gotta stop here for pure enjoyment! Our daughter had been to their shop in Philly and recommended it! We were hot and tired from a day of walking but after enjoying the delectable treats here we had energy to walk some more.nthe chocolate peanut butter crepe is heavenly as was my daughters strawberry crepe...oh heck everything was divine. White chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate! A decadent breakfast - waffles with strawberries, whipped cream, melted chocolate. French toast topped with apples, pecans and white chocolate. Crepes stuffed with sweet gooey goodness. And the hot drinks - OMG! Nicely spiced chai tea with white chocolate, or try the Kangaroo Cup of cappuccino with a melting chocolate slide. Conveniently located... More

Thinking I would stop in for a quick chocolate sundae.... What a mistake. With a quite restaurant with very few customers they were apparently so banked up in the kitchen that 25 min after placing my order they hadn't even bothered to start the order. Seriously how much effort would it have taken to make an ice-cream. The result -... More

The service here is typically either superb or horrendous, with the food making me come back, and in this case it was the latter. The waiter and manager insisted that they could not give individual checks for our group of nine. While this seems like a minor issue, having one check for nine people is far from feasible and practically... More

It took forever to be served at first, but thereafter the service improved. Wasn't very impressed with the quality of the food as I've most certainly had better in other Max Brenner outlets in Singapore and Sydney.

Went for breakfast and they do not have a large menu - maybe 5 choices. Wait staff is slow. They weren't busy at all. Food slow to come out. Not what I was looking for, expected an exciting menu.

Ate lunch with friends who each had a sandwich on a waffle. Thin waffle, similar to bread thickness. They loved their sandwiches which were BLTA and Philly Cheesteak. Had a Suckoa with dark chocolate afterward. The presentation and drink were delicious. Another had the ice cream bar with dippings. Yum. Would definitely recommend.

It is pricey and average. I had chicken Mac n' Cheese. Good but not better than most places. I say go there for a chocolate treat and save the meal for a better place. (the shakes are not thick so if you like your shake thick get something else)

We have visited the Max Brenner in Philadelphia and loved it. We decided to eat here to finish out our vacation because we knew we would like it and everyone would agree! We made a reservation on open table. When we walked in, music was so loud you could not hear yourself think and a private looking party was there... More
