I really enjoyed eating here. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed! My group ended up being seated in the very back where they take the dishes (they make use of every inch!) which was a little weird at first but we got over it. Even though we were in the way back, the service was... More

Delightful North End restaurant. Benevento's has both charm and wonderful food. The brick oven pizzas were delicious, as were the fig salad and the Ceasar salad. It is a good idea to make a reservation. It is extra special when you can tour the North End with a local Bostonian who lives right down the street.

My husband and I were in boston and wanted some authentic italian food and of course the north end is the place. We wanted a resturant off the beaten path a bit so we walked salem street and found beneventos. The have their own homemade pasta which I got along with the bolongese sauce. The lady next to us ordered... More

Pizza? Yes. But also amazing pasta choices including gluten free options on everything. Staff was great also. The only reason it is not a '5' is because the reservation/wait was less than optimal.

We wanted Italian food in the North End. We chose this restaurant based on the Gluten Free advertising they do and the reviews of the good food. We did not have reservations and it was Saturday night so we knew we'd have to wait. We were told 45 minutes-1 hour. As we waited (over an hour) by the door, we... More

We had a nice Sunday evening meal at Benevento's. We arrived about 6:45 and were seated right away at a table near the front window. The tables are pretty close together but it makes for a nice homey atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. My husband had the chicken special which he... More

A smallish family owned and run restaurant in Boston's Italian North End. While it has exactly the type of food you would expect to find the pizza is as close to what we have had in Italy anywhere in the Boston area. Thin crust with great toppings cooked perfectly. Very attentive staff and welcoming to families, couples, or folks looking... More

Went for lunch. They cooked my pizza then accidentally gave it to another table. Thus, the wait for my food was long. There were 10 other people in the restaurant at the time. Overall the food was good and the service was decent, I just wish my food came out on time.

We had to wait for 45 min ( they told us 10-15 min) on a table and the guy at the door gave away a table to people coming after us. He argued with us and did not apologize. The bar staff was unfriendly as well. The pizza was ok but nothing more and our waitress was friendly. When we... More
