5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2014 NEW credit card Amex Card Member Review

We stumbled upon this cute little restaurant on a walking trip round Boston. It's a very natural local Italian/pizza restaurant that seemed to be full of locals enjoying a great selection of pizzas and other food. The beers are good too.

The food was good at Benevento's and the service was great! Our friends reserved on a Saturday night and it was a good thing they did; the restaurant had to turn people away. We arrived after our friends and the waitress came to their table twice to help them tell us how to get there. Turns out that if you... More

Family of 4 adults and we ordered individual pizzas. Three of the 4 were burnt on the edges and part of the pizza was not editable. Very slow and rude service. Place was basically empty. I left a 12% tip, but they added extra on my credit card. Save your receipt just in case. Credit card company removed the extra... More

When picking up some cannoli for later in the evening, we asked for a restaurant recommendation. The bakery told us that the North End restaurants were ALL good, but finally recommended Benevento's. We're glad they did!!!! Our waitress Leanna was very sweet and informative giving us wonderful recommendations. I LOVE eggplant parmigiana ; this was wonderfully thin layers, perfectly cooked.... With only a vague idea of wanting North End Boston Italian food, we stumbled upon Benevento's. We had to wait a bit but had a nice chat with the hostess. This is a small restaurant with fairly tight circulation, but once seated we were treated to the marvelous symphony of sights, sounds and smells for which we had been hoping.... More

September 16, 2014 - 7pm: My wife and I wanted to experience some Italian food in the North End and Benevento's is highly rated and also received honorable mention as being gluten-free friendly. We made a 7pm reservation and showed up a few minutes early. I ordered a gluten-free pizza and my wife a regular pizza. We did not order... More

3.5 really -- Our party of 3 all ordered pasta for dinner - Benevento's allows you to mix and match your a pasta and a choice of sauce. There was a very good selection of both - fresh pasta having a $3 surcharge I had fussilli bolognese .. sauce was very good, but homemade pasta was too thick and chewy... More

The staff were excellent, the pizza was unreal. So good we visited twice on the same trip. Catered very well for the gluten free diner.

I ate there once before while on a Boston Pizza Tour & liked their pizaa. We were seated immediately with our reservations, at the very last table in the back of the restaurant. The noise level was low there & we were able to have nice conversation during dinner (it would be a bit too noisy & frenetic for me... More

Arrived for Al Dente, but was only able to walk-in to their sister restaurant next door. We got the table in the back, back section; surrounded by trash, bus station, and two garages (roll-up doors) but whatever, we were happy to get a table for five as walk-ins on a Tuesday. The pizza appetizer was great and the homemade pasta... More
