Went for dinner during the week. Place not was not crowded. Service was very good. I found the tables and chairs could be more comfortable. Had tuna ceviche, mac & cheese, octopus (very small serving), couple of beers and one ice cream. Bill was almost $110 with tax and tip. Would I return ? Probably not.

Since executive chef Leo Asaro moved a block west from Via Matta, Tico's ceviche bar has become one of the best creators of seafood crudo dishes in town. The new French maitre d', Guillaume (Gui), has brought a very pleasant Parisian flare to the place, complete with tete de cuvee brut rose from France (finally) and Boulevard-de-Montparnasse-style service--informally gregarious. This is the second time I go to tico, but the first time I actually had some food there. Tried a table for 2 but it was so uncomfortable (next to a column, in the middle of the restaurant) so we instead moved to the bar. The wife tried to tell the hostess, however she seemed more preoccupied with other... More

We went to Boston for a weekend. Our son recommended this restaurant, so we tried it for dinner. We had eaten a substantial lunch earlier and were looking for a nice place to end the evening. This place fit the bill. When we walked in, we immediately liked the eclectic decor. It is modern spanish with a very comfortable touch.... More

We went to Tico for lunch. Place was relatively empty (@1:30), I assume just past the lunch hour rush. Took awhile for the hostess to seat us. Waited for her to come to the host stand, then waited for her to take two phone calls. Our waitress was very pleasant. I had the pastrami sandwich, my wife had the chicken.... More

The food at Tico was so unique and delicious. We loved every item that we ordered from the Manchego appetizer to the Lamb main course and even the gelato chocolate/peanut butter and banana dessert. We look forward to coming back to Boston and eating at Tico again!

Yes it is TEXMEXTAPAS, a marvelous place. Yes it is noisy, has a younger set vibe, but the food is extraordinary! Even small plates have great servings, the Serrano ham, mmm, Manchego, yum, the sweet corn casserole with Thai basil, Jalapeno and smoked back, Magnifico. Great service, energy, open kitchen all equate to good food and value!

Had a late dinner. Waitress: intrusive; did not know which desserts were available. Food unsalted, oil-heavy. Decent lobster taco.

Handily placed between the T and our hotel, this was a great place to have lunch, outside on the terrace in the sunshine. Staff were friendly and attentive, the street view is interesting without being too noisy at the weekend. Food choices are Spanish in flavour with spicy undertones to make the options more interesting, limited range available, but geared... More

Looking for a not too expensive option in the Copley Square area. We found this listing in TA and decided to give their tapas a try. TA has it as moderate cost, based on the entrees, but a typical tapas selection of 3 plates each easily tops $30+ per person before drinks, tax n tip. That said, our dishes were... More
