Description: "Five Napkin Burger" is our homage to the American Bar and Grill. “Five Napkin” combines elements from such diverse influences as the steak house, the coffee shop, the local tavern, and the fern bars of the 70’s and 80’s. An in depth examination, of these disparate concepts finds one powerful unifying: the burger. The “Five Napkin Burger,” a messy 10oz gourmet burger, will indeed take center stage on the menu, alongside a supporting cast of charbroiled meat, poultry, and fish, entrée salads, unique side dishes and sushi hand rolls. Our beverage program consisting of classic and modern cocktails, frozen drinks, ice cream shakes, American wines, and an exhaustive collection of spirits and beers is the perfect complement to this cuisine.

The food was great. We sat outside on a pretty day. The breakfast tacos were delicious. Service was very good.

We were looking for a place to eat at 3pm after having arrived at Boston. Really, any place would have done. We walked from our hotel and ran into this restaurant. Looked intriguing, so we went. Service was fine. Our waiter was very patient with us and it was our first time, so he was able to answer all our... More

I'm not sure what happened here. I was very recommended to visit 5 Napkin in NYC, but I decided to give Boston branch a try. I ate 3 different burgers, including their "Original" and a limited edition. All of them have no taste. I didnt like at all. But attendance was very good, I can't complain about that.

I can't really comment on the food because after waiting 45 minutes, I was never served any. I was staying at the Colonnade across the street and was starving because I'd been in a conference all day and didn't have lunch. I thought the fastest food option was to grab a burger across the street. I was seated quickly outside... More

Ate here tonight. I was keen on going to the Cheesecake Factory again (next door) but hubby didn't want to go to same place twice. After eating here he said we should have gone back to the Cheesecake Factory. The main issue for us was the portion size and the staff; we felt the small portions did not reflect the... More

We love trying to find the best burgers when we travel and the named burger at 5 Napkin was very good (but not one of the best). If you're in the area (it's right near one of the Duck Boat location), it's definitely worth a stop but I wouldn't cross town just to try it. Service and atmosphere (sitting outside)... More

I am fussy about burgers, but this place uses high quality ground beef, much better than most places. In two visits, the burger was excellent both times, so I will make it a point to return when in a burger mood. Plus the fries and onion rings were both above average, the o-rings lightly battered and not greasy at all,... More

Service was good and our waitress very friendly. Quite busy but we got in without a reservation and without waiting. Burgers were good and tasty. My Wife had a salad which was on the large side but she was happy with the quality.

Good service. Friendly wait staff. Crowded and a loud, but that was fine! Great location. We waited about :50 minutes. We didn't have a reservation and it was Patriots weekend so that was no surprise!

I was told this is a place that I should try when in Boston, and I did. To be fair, here are things I liked and what I didn't. Likes: Service. Had a friendly waiter. He made recommendations and kept checking in. And my burger came quickly. Dislike: the burger was a bit bland, under-seasoned and the patty-bun ratio wasn't... More
