For a cup of joe, free wifi, and a good panini, sit yourself down on one of the couches or high tables.
I'm all for local, Boston-based business... and they can make a great cup of coffee. But the experience is inconsistent, and their cafes are totally uninspiring. There are many better places to get your caffeine fix.
Nice for morning brunch with quiche, usually 3-4 selections. Quiche comes with side of lettuce, 3-bean salad or pasta salad. Lettuce doused with small amount of balsamic vinaigrette. Quiche hot but soggy crust as it has been re-heated. You wait in line to order and be served and then wait for order. It's quick, but I prefer fresh rather than... More
Feels like being part of the local Boston community for a moment whilst enjoying your cappucino and toast. Home made stuff instead of Starbucks precooked plastic bag breakfast.
We went here twice for breakfast during our stay in Boston. The food was great - paninis and breakfast sandwiches. The service, however was terrible. Took apx 30 minutes to get a toasted bagel and coffee. We thought this might be a fluke, however went the next day and had a similar experience. I do not recommend going here unless... More
Avoid the expensive b'fast at the Hyatt. Very nice breakfast sandwiches and excellent coffee. It wasn't too crowded even during morning rush hour.
Convenient, great coffee, yummy food. It's like a hipster place and the service is fast. The chairs are comfy and I loved the window seats with counter facing to the outside to watch people go by. They aim to please.
Seems like a hipster spot, but even they kinda laugh and go with it. Seems like most selections are organic (if not all), pretty tasty coffee with a great selection of pastries as well as lunch items. Nice stop on the way to the Commons.
This is a great spot for a pre-theatre meal. It is a casual, yet busy setting so timing is important. If you get there too close to show time, it will be a challenge to find a seat to enjoy your meal. We enjoyed two different sandwiches (one was a tomato, pesto and cheese panini and the other was a... More
I don't know about you, but I sometimes enjoy a nice cup of coffee after a good meal. So it was this past weekend as we dropped our son off at Emerson college. After a very filling lunch at the Intermission Tavern, my wife and I took to walking around Boston (for several hours) to walk off the meal. Before... More
