First time visit to Boston

Italian Express Pizzeria has gotten a lot of local TV press and it's well deserved. It is a neighborhood restaurant with a very friendly feel. Pizza is awesome and the chicken Marsala was very good. The wait staff is very accommodating and friendly and don't seem to have the word "no or can't do that" in their vocabulary. It gets... More

I had seen the episode of Triple D that featured this place and couldn't wait to try the homemade pasta. Only a few of the dishes on the menu featured the homemade pasta. I chose the ravioli and meatballs. It was the best pasta I have EVER eaten. The meatballs are melt in your mouth delicious. Each member of our... More

I literally just went here for dinner. When I first walked up I was thinking "wow, it's small!" But when we walked in, we were immediately welcomed. The service was impeccable!!! The food- oh my goodness!! It was GREAT!!! I had the best pepperoni pizza I've ever eaten. The other couple shared a spaghetti & meatball dinner. I tasted theirs.... More

The food was far beyond what we expected and the atmosphere was so relaxed and in such a funky little neighborhood! It really is worth taking the time to check this restaurant out, it will defiantly be worth... More

Since being featured on both "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on the Food Network, as well as "Chronicle", locally here in Boston on Channel 5, Italian Express is doing even more of a booming business than it already was. We ate there this past Saturday night. Although the wait was long, the owners made it a point to constantly update us,... More

I discovered Italian Express a few years ago, and every time I visit Boston it is a must visit place for me. The food is authentic and fresh, and the service and staff are first rate. Too bad I don't live close by!

We decided to visit this restaurant after seeing it on Chronicle. It was fairly easy to find. Parking may be a problem since lots of the parking is permit only. We didn't know you could call ahead for reservations but you can and should if you decide to visit. Seating is limited since it is a very small place. Better... More

Thank you for the compliments on our food. Yes, we were very overwhelmed because we had just been on TV the day before, and there was a very long wait. That is why we strongly recommend reservations. We did our absolute best to keep up with the rush of business and make everyone happy. We take our business very seriously... More

I just moved to east Boston and I was trying new restaurants in the neighborhood. We happened to come across Italian express. After walking in we realized this place was famous, quick research and I found out it was highly rated. The host Jim was truely amazing. The food was delicious, authentic and generous. Will definitely come back with more... More

I went there with two friends for dinner. Food is of high quality and is fairly priced. Jim gave us good recommendation on the menu. While we waited for a relatively long time, the food didn't fall short of our expectation. We ordered a pizza with two toppings as well as a pasta and both tasted very good. The size... More
