Three of us ate here Saturday night at 10:30 PM. Great selection of Oysters, delicious huge shrimp cocktail and nice atmosphere, excellent service! Only complaint music is a bit to loud. Not a cheap place...$270 for 3 of us and included 5 cocktails/wine. But that's the going rate for Boston for nice restaurants. Will return in 3 weeks.

This restaurant/ bar is attached to the Commonwealth Hotel in Boston. We were surprised at how large it was once we were inside. They have an amazing amount of beers to try. The oyster shucking station is right on the end of the bar, so we had a great view of that process - about 5 seconds per oyster! They... More

The oysters biscuits and a whiskey smash are amazing. Hard to get a reservation, but so worth it. Sitting at the bar is a good option if you can't get in.

This was a medical trip, so I couldn't partake of the raw, which broke my heart because I love oysters. Opted for the lobster bisque and herb-crusted cod, both of which were excellent. My husband had the fried clams (first time) and loved them. Good-sized portions, great service, very cool atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.

This is the restaurant from the Island Creek oyster farm group. Arguably the best oysters on the half shell in any restaurant anywhere. The good news is that the rest of the menu is also great, for those who are not interested in raw seafood. My wife's salmon was perfect, and they were happy to accommodate her preferences. Very hard... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
