It is, perhaps, unfair of me to review this restaurant. On the evening of our visit we had been awake for 22 hours and travelling for 15 of those hours. We were exhausted and ready for bed. The place was abuzz. This is clearly a very popular dining spot for Bostonions. Tables are pretty tightly packed together and it is... More

It was like receiving a lovely gift, well wrapped with a really nice bow. Then you carefully open the gift and the box is empty. All the trappings of a fine dining experience with one exception, the food was well below average. I must start off by stating that I did not have raw oysters, maybe they were really good.... More

Every now and then you have a magic night meal. The food is great, the wait staff unbelievable. Monday night was ours. We wanted to share a bowl of soup. Instead of two spoons, they brought two smaller bowls of great clam chowder. We put a large dent in the oyster population and loved all of the recommendations. Like Arnold,... More

Service here impeccable.... Relaxed, friendly, casual, but expert! Food out of this world!! Amazing wine too and bill didn't shock me. Book in advance and don't be afraid to go early evening, it's still nice and buzzy!

Vibrant restaurant. With many seafood and drink choices. They did not disappoint! Service was quick as we were heading to a Red Sox game. This restaurant is one of our go-to-places when we are in Boston!

We came to visit colleges with my son and decided to have a raw seafood bar place for dinner. The seafood appetizer ensemble for four was perfect for us. The seafood was so fresh and tasty. We absolutely loved it. Make sure you make reservation because it gets quite crowded.

We now have a plethora of oyster bars in the city. B&G, Neptune, and Island Creek Oyster Bar are my top three go-to choices. A great east coast oyster bar does several things properly. They serve a range of oysters including west coast varieties, they're uber-fresh,very cold and shucked properly and your server really knows the product. ICOB excels in... More

This is a great restaurant for those who love a raw bar. If that's not what you like, no worries. There are other items on their menu that are quite good - primarily seafood. The only challenge is getting in - you need to book a reservation far in advance!

We had been looking forward to this for awhile. I had a fantastic Bloody Mary (I like the fact that they give you horseradish in the condiment tray) followed by an oloroso sherry (the servers had no idea which sherry was which - in general, the servers were pretty clueless about food and drink) while my friends had martinis (nice...
