Description: Co-Owners Brian Piccini and Executive Chef Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

I shared dinner at Deuxave with an old friend. I selected the restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The restaurant is located in Back Bay. The space is traditional and elegant. Seating was comfortable with well-spaced and positioned seating. The restaurant was full but quiet making conversation comfortable. Options on the menu were varied. We shared a... More

second visit in last year. Every bit as good as the first. The atmosphere is incredible, tasteful decor and quiet warm elegance. Service is friendly and attentive. The food us great. We had foie gras, beet salad and lobster gnocchi to start and all were great. For entrees we had prime New York strip with mushrooms, root veggies and potato... More

I won't say it is the best restaurant I have eaten at, but it is up there. Courteous knowledgeable staff. Very good flavors. Expensive wine list. I would love to go back again.

We were only in Boston for one evening so I made sure we had somewhere decent to eat. Saturday night reservation slots were limited even though I was booking 2-3 weeks in advance. Now I can understand why. The menu is classic french dining yet contemporary. The wine selection was great and the french pinot noir was delicious, almost too... More

Came to Boston for the weekend and decided to eat at Deaxave. Sadly we didn't book a table (Arrived at 8pm, next avail.table was at 10:30pm -- wasn't worth booking a table). We drank and ate plenty of bread before getting our meals. The service was excellent. The only negative point was the wash/restroom/toilets, there is only one which is... More

With a reasonable wine selection and well prepared food, this is a great place to entertain or impress. The service was very good and we had a great, relaxed meal at the high end for Boston. We will need to try some more of the entrees before becoming wowed, but still worth considering for a special event.

We were in Boston for a conference and planned ahead for a Saturday evening at Deuxave; we are so happy we did! Once again, Tripadvisor steered us right. This is a beautiful space, very warm and comfortable yet elegant. The food was superb, the bay scallop appetizer and melange of beets were our favorites. Our waiter, Wesley, looks and sounds... More

The waiter overheard our difficulty at choosing a wine and how we like menus with a flight of wine and came up with the menu and accompanying wines to accommodate us. Amazing food and wine. Amazing service. We would love to come again when next in the States

Great food and service. Excellent wine list but a bit daunting. The only very slight criticism is that the chef has to watch the salt in his recipes. Fabulous, interesting recipes but just a bit too much salt.

We ate here in September 2014. The menu and food is simply stunning! There are few places that I have eaten in which have the same blend of friendly, informative staff, great service - just the right pace and simply fantastic food. It is one of those restaurants where you just can't wait to go back - I'd be almost... More
