Fine-tuned and delicious--treat yourself!

I was by myself and had an early dinner in the bar area. The host was cordial and welcoming. The server helped select a perfect wine to go with my entrée, which was sublime. Be aware that the portions are small--if you have any appetite at all be sure to order appetizers!

A remarkably delicious dinner. Lovely, helpful, knowledgable service. First: Onion Soup - highly recommended by waiter - had an incredible broth, rich, not overly cheesed; entirely satisfying on a cold Boston night. Second: Ravioli with chicken and wild mushrooms courtesy of the chef which had flavor and freshness. Main: Venison steak with home made venison sausage. All of this plus... More

Treat yourself and indulge. Everything is well executed here. We enjoyed all our courses, which arrived with appropriate pacing and respectful service. French classics are recognizable, but updated with creative twists. It's not a bargain, but the quality matches the price, making it a value nonetheless. There are some nice glasses of wine on offer too if you find the... More

This cozy restaurant at the intersection of Commonwealth and Mass serves imaginative food of high quality and offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that is becoming increasingly hard to find these days. Great service, extensive wine list. I will certainly return.

I have been here twice for a dinner with clients in the last two months. Both times have been wonderful experiences, as Deuxave is an elegant and beautifully decorated restaurant with wonderful French themed food. The pate appetizer (I have had both times) is superb and I have very much enjoyed both the duck and scallop entrees. It is not... More

We had eaten here a year ago, and quality has not slipped. Maybe it's gone up. My wife and I shared a chicken roasted with truffles and risotto stuffing. I think I suffered a temporary blackout when I first tasted it...man, was that good. The lobster and gnocchi appetizer also was great. The wine list is very long and includes... More

DO NOT RUIN YOUR DINNER BY GOING HERE!!!!!! I decided to give this small restaurant another chance and booked for NYE (all my favorite restaurants were already booked by that time, and Deuxave was offering a NYE menu, which I assumed would be better than their normal-priced entrees). When I told my friend about the incident (that I was hoping... More

During our stay in Boston, we wanted to treat ourselves to a special night out - we made the right choice. Within walking distance of our excellent hotel (The Eliot), this is a quality restaurant where you feel like you are being treated. The service is friendly and quick, while the food is five star. The staff made a real... More

We reserved our table one month ahead for Christmas Day through OpenTable. It was done easy and convenient. We arrived to USA at JFK Airport. Then moved to Boston on rented car. Stayed at Ames Boston Hotel. Sorry for details. On Christmas Day, we, the family of four: my wife, our two sons and me, entered the restaurant at 19.00.... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
