Description: Co-Owners Brian Piccini and Executive Chef Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

We booked this dinner for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were greeted graciously at the door where they took our coats. We were then seated at a perfect table by the windows where we enjoyed the view and the snow falling. They came with a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary and then the fun really began. Amuse bouche... More

Arriving on a freezing winter night, we had very high hopes. The restaurant was very beautiful with nothing but perfect service throughout. The menu was not large but all of the items were creative and interesting. The kir royale to start was a perfect pour. The appetizer of lobster gnocchi was wonderful. The gnocchi melted in my mouth with fragrant... More

We absolutely wanted to love Deuxave, and left wanting more. Food was good but not great...same feeling about the cocktails. Ordered chicken, very small portion, served warm (not hot) which was a bit disappointing. Service was pretty good, and the manager flagged down a cab for us which was appreciated. Overall nice restaurant, we just were not wowed like we... More

I'd like to start by saying that while I was looking around for a nice restaurant, I decided to check out tripadvisor as opposed to yelp (what I had previously used for restaurants in the area. I had never heard of Deuxave prior to checking out TA, and I research restaurants quite often (previously on yelp). I was extremely glad... More

We celebrated a friend's 55th birthday at Deuxave last night. The room is classy and gorgeous and it's evident that a lot of money has gone into renovating the space which has been many things over the last decade. The location on Comm. Ave is pure Boston and very nice indeed. Being pretty hard-core foodies, the four of us usually... More

We had a fine meal with friends for the first time recently at this restaurant, which is conveniently located on Massachusetts Avenue in Boston. The menu has a limited but excellent selection of appetizers and entrees with an emphasis in several dishes on black and white truffles. The service was outstanding and the wine list wide ranging with many excellent... More

We have dined here when it first opened and we were able to get a table outside, which I would highly recommend on a warm Boston evening, but we went there this past weekend and did not get the same service we had before. Let me start out by saying everything on the menu is delicious. We went as a... More

Being rated at one if not the best french restaurant in Boston we wanted to have the experience. Lets say expectations were very high, maybe too high. Two men did receive us at the door. One smiling, the other one not smiling...Bad start. The not smiling one seems to be the manager, so even worst...This being said, they should learn... More

We had dinner here a few nights before my birthday and I was in heaven! Champagne pre-dinner at the bar was lovely (bartenders were professional but friendly) but beware of sitting near the entry as I was chilled every time someone opened the door. The only negative I can say about this restaurant is that we were asked to move... More

Just recently celebrated the holidays with a dinner at Deuxave with a couple of friends. We heard that it was the #1 rated French Restaurant in Boston. I've dinned at several other great French Restaurants in Boston and found this one to be average. The atmosphere of the bar and restaurant is comfortable and nice with sleek modern touches. Waitstaff... More
