Co-Owners Brian Piccini and Executive Chef Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Expectations are always exceeded!

My favorite neighborhood stop! Great wine list, fantastic staff(especially David), and a perfectly executed menu. Deuxave is must for a special occasions or a great bar for a night cap in the Back Bay.

We found this to be a perfect choice for a romantic dinner while in town for the marathon. There are plenty of reviews online for Deuxave, and they all looked positive, and we were very glad we tried it out. We would highly recommend it for any special occasion. So...to the menu. The lobster with gnocchi appetizer was excellent. A... More

My husband and I tried this place based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Our waiter Shaine was the perfect balance of friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive. He had spot on recommendations for cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. I had the Italian ice cocktail, we split the duck confit, I had the house signature duck dish, and my husband had the... More

Really good French inspired cooking. Portions in the American way. Big and quite industrialized, no individual passion but a very good standardization of solidly reliable good food.

This was the second time I have visited this restaurant. The service and food just keep getting better and better! If you are looking for something fancy and delicious, this should be your first choice. Duck is their specialty! It is beyond amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Deuxave is a very fine restaurant. It was our first time there after years of strong recommendations from friends and colleagues. What makes it "Fine" is that it is consistently good and it has survived times and trials and most always exceeds expectations. I read reviews from diners who have gone to Deuxave many times and have become disillusioned, which... More

After reading other reviews I was eager to bring my wife here for our anniversary dinner. I booked online and notified them it was our anniversary and requested a romantic table if one was available - being our first time I wasn’t sure what to expect. We arrived at 5.30pm for our 5.30pm reservation and were promptly seated. I’m not... More

We went here because of its top rating. I would have given a 5 star but it wasn't perfect. The atmosphere is really nice and modern, clean. The bar was busy, our table wasn't ready but the bar tender never looked over so we didn't get a drink. No big deal, I ordered a nice bottle of wine instead. Once... More

Had reservations for a late dinner at 9:30. Ordered 1 beef tartar appetizer, cocktail and a chicken entree. With every course, the waiters would forget to bring the utensils and each course took a very long time. In fact the chicken entree didn't come out until an hour after the appetizer! It was 11pm when it finally arrived and when... More

Chris Coombs has another winner. Try Boston Chops -- an excellent place in the South End. Deuxave is a modern take on fine French dining -- it is what L'Espalier used to be. Fantastic food, great service, exciting architecture -- all around a great experience, and not too expensive. Very deep wine list -- with a number of approachable choices.... More
