Town is a great place for a drink, dinner or both. The bar downstairs is certainly a "scene" especially late at night but don't miss upstairs. It's like there are 3 different restaurants but it's really only 1. The service is top notch but you don't feel at all like it's a stuffy place. In fact it's quite friendly and... More

Overall this restaurant was good, but wasn't as good as I would have expected. The price was fair for the food, and the food quality was fresh but boring. I will say that the service was AMAZING. Our water glasses were never empty and our server (young girl in her early 30's with a slight accent) was impecable. Good place... More

Great location on Boylston. Been a few times and haven't been blown away by the service or the vibe of the front bar. More

Service and food were excellent. Our server knew the menu very well which was so helpful in ordering as the menu is quite eclectic. The atmosphere in the bar area was nice for pre-dinner drinks. The dining area is on the loud side if you don't mind that. More

It was an anniversary celebration and the staff was exceptionally kind. The food was great and the menu has many wonderful choices. The Harpoon IPA was delicious too. More

Lobster popovers are excellent had the skirt steak and duck and both were over the top tasty. The only real complaint came from dessert when offered a "selection" of homemade sorbets and ice creams my wife said sure and she received three scoops of vanilla. When she asked about it they brought out a scoop of coffee. Not much of... More

The Towne is a happening spot, great atmosphere but the menu is very very odd. It goes from pizza to duck to rabbit - the sides are even crazier! - cauliflower, jasmine rice?? who wants jasmine rice with a steak? No basic potatoe to balance items out - strange very strange. I get that they are trying to be different... More

We went to Towne on a friday night at 7:15 we were seated down stairs it was a bit noisy with the after work drink crowd. However once the tables started filling up most of the drinkers left. Started with the Lobster pop overs(we could of ate them all night) I had the crispy duck and wife had the margarita... More

Just had a special event at Towne - food is fantastic, wait staff are amazing and Lydia Shire personally stopped in to say hello. How can it get better than that? Great provate room for 80 or so... More

We have eaten at all of Lydia Shire's restaurants. We have always enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. This Shire restaurant was a huge disappointment. I ordered the arugula salad which was graciously split for us. I am not a big lover of over dressed salads but this one had not a bit of dressing. Each individual ingredient was fresh but... More
