Went in a group in a private room. The service was rubbish. At times there was no waiting staff in the room for 5 minutes at a time. Ridiculously small portion of ravioli.

Good food but pricey and a lot better restaurants in the area. Steak was fine but nothing special and sides wee pretty average. Desert was ordinary at best. Service average. Good location.

Searching for a Sunday brunch restaurant at the last moment we settled on Towne for 5 people. It was a first time visit for us; we had mixed results. Good things: the menu, emphasizing eggs with a few salad choices offered plenty of options. Including a drink with some menu items (mimosa, etc.). The toast was a nice change from... More

would have given excellent, if we had been seated away from the after work F U L L bar of letting loose folks.p, so our conversation was not strained. They departed part way thru our meal and our enjoyment of the meal improved. The service was attentive and pleasant. The food was served on warmed plates. The steak was cooked... More

We have been to Towne 5-6 times, both as a couple and with 2-4 friends. This visit was for a party of 10 which can sometimes be difficult because of the size. We were fortunate to have requested a round table and they reserved one for us in a private area in the first floor dining room. Everyone raved about... More

Seems more like a tourist trap than classic Boston dining experience. Food is "ok" - and service is "ok" but nothing special. Ok for drinks but would go somewhere else for dinner. The restaurant is half empty on weekends so clearly others are getting the same message.

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night, lots of tables available. The food was decent, not anything special. For the price of this restaurant, the service was sub par. We waited a long time before being asked about drinks. A long wait until our food arrived, seemed on the cold side, like it had been sitting for a bit. So... More

We had dinner here for our final night in Boston and simply loved it! We both had Steak Frites which was cooked to perfection. Excellent service and a great atmosphere too. Thoroughly recommended!

Had a great meal here last night! Met a friend for dinner. Started out with the Sushi Rolls (tasty) and the Chopped Salad (tasty and a generous portion). For the main meal we had the stuffed porkchops which were tender and moist (and so filling, I wound up taking one home) and the Salmon which was delicious! Dessert was the... More

Exelent food and exceptional customer service. I recommend visiting Towne stove and spirits with a party on the larger side but every meal is absolutely remarkable.
