Very lively, a bit noisy, but that's part of the vibe here. Delicious dishes and decent portions. Loved that the owner mingled with the customers and sat down next to us.....closed the restaurant down! Neighborhood gem.

We last patronised Petit Robert in December 2013 and our party of five had something of a mixed dinner then. Four of us returned for a Saturday dinner in November 2014 and enjoyed an overall much better experience. This was facilitated by an excellent server. This time the courses came together, were well presented and were perfectly satisfactory. The bistro... More

This was our 3rd visit to Petit Robert in Boston's South End and we love it. It feels like you're in your local neighborhood bistro ... warm, friendly, a bit crowded and a bit loud, which all contributes to the ambiance. We began with escargot - I could eat these all night, mopping up that garlickly butter with the crusty... More

We have been coming here for the past few years and have always enjoyed our times here. The service is great; we have always enjoyed the wait staff. Our meals each time have been excellent from the pate selection or mussels for appetizers, steak frites or a signature French dish, and desert. This restaurant is best in the fall and... More

We visited this restaurant whilst staying for four days in Boston. Our waitress was wonderful and the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. However we felt it was expensive for relatively average food.

Spilling over on to the sidewalk when weather permits, Petit Robert Bistro, offers authentic French food, authentic neighborhood clientele (and the South End is diverse and exciting), and the warmth and buzz of folks getting together to enjoy. While the food is reliably good (not too much excitement on that front) and the wine list is frankly just adequate, the... More

This small bistro is located in a charming neighbourhood is Boston's South End. It has indoor and outdoor seating with a small bar. The food is "the real ting" with classic dishes from all over France. Their house pate starter (a dish I use to "test" a new place) was excellent. The service was friendly, my only complaint was the... More
