Petit Robert Bistro, Columbus Ave is truly a neighborhood gem. Located in the South End it is one fo the best kept secrets, with great food and outdoor seating, a summer gem.

The food was actually not bad but the service was just a mess, Wrong drinks came, wrong food came.......twice, bill was wrong, actually in my favor but I corrected it and got little thanks, should have kept my mouth shut. Just not a good night out but I guess those nights happen.

The bread is incredible! Then I ordered the steak with fries and it was very well cooked. I ordered the tarte for dessert and was just as the ones in France. Everything was delicious and the place is very nice

The only thing I have to warn you about is that your conversation may suffer, because you will be to busy going "mmmm !" I went here with a friend and that is pretty much what we did. I had a potage and it was delicious. The atmosphere is fun and informal, and the prices are reasonable!

This Bistro was suggested by our B&B host, although we'd seen it while walking to the B&B. The bread was fabulous, by the way. The food was excellent, well prepared, nicely served, and so very tasty. And the prices were reasonable. We were lucky to get a window seat and could watch the people walk by and the sky as... More

Couldn't fault the food here - I had a rack of lamb that was delicious and perfectly cooked. Also enjoyed a plate of Macarons for dessert, which was a nice option to have, and they also were very well made. A reasonable distance to Downtown too, which was good for us.

My wife and I had a delightful meal at Petit Robert prior to a performance at the Huntington Theater, a short walk away. Yes, it seemed to me classic French cuisine, with a nice menu selection, well prepared and presented, friendly service, and some decent choices on the wine list (we had a 2010 Pommard). My entree was the Coquilles... More

We have been going to Petit Robert in the South End since they opened and continue to dine there for special occasions, with guest in town or just because we love the food! Always consistent food and service and prices reasonable for the quality and location.

Food was authentic, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Portion sizes were substantial and the wine list was decent.

I booked for a Cast Party for Zeitgeist Stage and we have been a group of 14. Of course you can expect exceptional service on a slow Sunday night. We did receive that through Jeremy, who substituted for Bruno, who due to a car accident couldn't be there. The feed back I received from everybody attending about the food was... More
