Pho Basil is a compact place with a large menu featuring Vietnamese & Thai dishes. We were a party of 4 & were able to be seated right away which was fortunate as there is no bar or waiting area and it was raining out. There are many selections on the menu and it took a while to decide what... More

We had really good food. There was a lot of food for a small prize. We will be in Boston for another 4 days and we'll come back every night.

I included this restaurant in our trip itinerary since it is within the shopping district of Copley and Newbury street, had positive reviews and within budget. Moreover, i love Thai food. It is a few steps from the Hynes station on the green line. We arrived at 6 pm which was a good time because shortly after the restaurant was... More

We are from Canada vacationing for a few days in Boston. Amidst enjoying much seafood during our stay, we wanted to try Thai. This restaurant was recommended and it was a short distance from out hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing flavours, spice and different presentation of the Mango Salad from the usual! The portions were extremely generous... More

We had the Saigon noodles and the pad see you (yes, they spell it that way). Both were good although I think I preferred the flavor of the pad better. I liked that they had a variety of food including some Vietnamese dishes like pho, which I was tempted to try but didn't. We arrived at 5:30 and had no... More

I used to frequent Pho Basil when I worked in the neighborhood. consistently great food. The "Tom Yum" has the perfect mix of spicy and citrus.

We had booked a table for 7 for 8:45pm on a week night. I arrived on time and asked to be seated while the others were either parking or walking down the street from MIT just around the bend. I asked to be seated at our reserved table and was refused on the ground that the other 6 were not... More

Wandered in here after arriving in Boston on a Sunday night and it was packed at 8pm. Close quarters (I could hear the lady next to me slurping her soup) and no atmosphere but the menu is extensive and the food was really good, plentiful and not expensive. Like another reviewer I worried about mixed cuisine, but the yellow curry... More

I always am skeptical of restaurants that take on more than one ethnicity but if their Thai is as good as their pho, watch out! Awesome! I had the fresh rolls and a spicy beef pho and both were extremely flavorful and authentic. There was a line out the door on a Wednesday at dinner so go early or make... More
