Heaven in a Gooey Square

That Pecan Sticky Bun is one of the most delightful thing's I've ever tasted. So sweet, so soft, and just immediately puts you in a state of euphoria. We had a nice lunch here after time spent at the Children's Museum. The cafe had a very large selection of dessert and baked goods and the options we selected were pretty good. Lunch menu was smaller. We ordered different sandwiches and the bread was very good, sandwiches were ok. I enjoyed the Greek salad with a very tasty dressing.... More

On a recent trip to downtown Boston, we had one free morning where we wanted to get some breakfast. I selected this place because we could walk to it easily from our location and I had heard that the food is incredible. I guess the name does have bakery in it, but I thought I was going to a place... More

Great nutty soft n crusty roasty almondy macaroons. I need say no more. But I will: BOSTON cream pie good but I like Custard than pastry creme. And the mollases ginger was quite good. Overall **** Almond Macaroon *****

We just happened upon this cafe and it looked like it was busy with regulars from the neighborhood. The decor is hip and fun and the menu choices great. The food was delicious!

We got a delicious sandwich (smoked turkey), but the star of the show was the sticky bun, which has a well-deserved stellar reputation. It was light, delicate (I know; seems unlikely for a good sticky bun, and yet...), with a wonderful caramel stickiness and just the right amount of cinnamon and pecans. Can't wait for more!

Works for me! It's a feel good place. The employees were friendly and everything I tried was delicious (including a roast beef sandwich and salad for dinner). LOVED the two "competing" tip jars which changed every day. First day Bob Marley or Bob the Builder. Today bicycles or motorcycles. What fun! But the best of all is their Boston Cream... More

Best chocolate macaroons! Amazing egg sandwich for lunch. My husband had a roast beef sandwich and he said the meat was tender and the greens were fresh. Kids ham and cheese. All on delcious bread. Great coffee and tea too! Not far from Boston Tea party museum if you are tourist and looking for a good place to eat.

Good little cafe that I frequented when I worked nearby. Staff was always friendly and service was fairly quick.

This place is excellent, one of my favorite places to get food in the entirety of Boston, and certainly friendly towards us foreigners :)
