Mooo truly excellent

Wonderful choices and most helpful, attentive staff. We had dinner and breakfast. Both were terrific.

Mooo is outstanding on several levels. The ambiance is very nice. Upscale, yet very comfortable. The menu is larger than your average "steak house" with some really nice options. Food is beautifully presented with substantial portions and everything we ate was perfectly prepared and delicious. Everyone we encountered on the staff was engaging and provided us with superior service. Hector... More

Thursday evening, no reservation - a double seater at the bar. Great atmosphere, friendly no non-sense service. Starters were sizeable, I got the marrowbone. Greasy and salty as it should be. The steak was just spot on as was the Napa Valley red I got with it. Thanks.

Mooo, located near the state house, is a sophisticated and upscale steakhouse that offers its guests a warm and relaxed atmosphere in which to dine. Their dry aged steaks are perfectly prepared and the sauces that they use more than compliment it. The Faroe island salmon was fresh and delicious. A great place to dine after having walked the freedom... More

I was there for a client dinner. It was one of the few restaurants we could find close to a function we attended that was opened on a Sunday night. It is a small restaurant but nice. Muted warm colors permeate the walls, there is a room for private parties downstairs where the restrooms are located. The restaurant has an... More

The restaurant is really gorgeous, perfect for a special birthday which is what I took my boyfriend for. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for as the service is amazing. The food was tasty and the portions are large, in my opinion. Our waiter was awesome. At one point I got red wine sauce on... More

Upscale dining With perfectly executed cuisine We dined with a party of six Each entree was served and cooked to perfection Delicious vegetable choices and one of the best steaks in boston Although the appetizers were tasty and presented well- I considered the portions rather small for the price charged However the dinners were generous as were the vegetables that... Mooo is located on Beacon Hill. It is a modern steakehouse. The food is good but expensive. They offer 2 menu's one for the bar and one for the tables.

Good service and friendly staff but the food was incredible. I loved the Japanese Wagyu beef dumplings and I would really recommend this dish to everyone! WAUW! The food is really good and the atmosphere makes the restaurant worthy of the certificate of excellence! One little comment: too bad the tv was on (located behind the bar), this is not... More

We had a nice dinner at Moo this weekend. The service was excellent but I was a little disappointed by the food. The steak was just okay and definitely required some work to cut. The options for sides were boring (mashed potato, squash, truffle fries). All pretty ho hum. Next time I'll return to Davios or Capital Grille.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
