Description: It is the philosophy of BarLola, where one can simultaneously drink, enjoy Spanish music, mingle, and eat ones way round a wonderful gastronomic spectrum. It is our goal to make sure that we only serve authentic dishes that are as close to the original presentation and taste as those you would find in different regions of Spain. We have a fantastic selection of wines, cavas, beers, and other signature cocktails to accompany your meal. We make every effort to ensure that the majority of our key ingredients are imported from Spain. Our kitchen team members come from Spain, descendants of Spain or of Latin ancestry to ensure authenticity and standards. ***NOTE: Every Sunday evening we have live Flamenco shows Sunday Night at 8pm. Please note that there is a $20 minimum per person (toward food and drink) for the show. It will be assumed that all reservations made 7pm and 8pm are for the show. If you will not be joining us for the show, please let us know*

The patio during the summer is a must. Always enjoy a glass of red sangria, garlicky shrimp, dates wrapped in bacon and duck valencia. The patio in the sumer is a must although inside during the winter is cozy and warm. p.s. Of course in the tradition of enjoying tapas - take your time to order your next dish so... More

I lived in Spain for 3 years and can tell you the food at BarLola is NOT at all authentic. The tortilla espanola had barely any potatoes or onions in it, and was flavorless. The sangria was not right either! Plus the place is soooo expensive. $7.50 for a bit of bad imitation sangria and $6 for what was basically... More

There were a nice variety of tapas options and even a small paella (and I mean small) which was perfect for two if you were going to eat other tapas - which we were. Typically the paella is huge and takes a while to prepare so you are full before it arrives and it is way to much for a... More

Excellent tapas restaurant. Ambiance & Service:Five Spoons. Food was great. We shared five dishes and were amazed at the generous portions. Had the red peppers, grilled shrimp, mushrooms, sausages and a small paella tapa that was more then enough for two people. All dishes were superb and as good as anything we have eaten two trips to Spain. We will... More

We had a great variety of items to share, but the raviolis were the best! The sauce was so special. I resisted licking the plate though.

My favorite tapas in all of Boston! The food is phenomenal and the servers are wonderful. In the summer the outdoor patio is beautiful. Truly a great location and great food!

I had tapas and drinks here with a friend and we both enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the waitstaff frequently came by to refill our water glasses, clear plates, and check on us. We sat outside on a warm evening and took advantage of the beautiful Back Bay location. All in all, we were very happy and... More

If you enjoy Tapas, Bar Lola, on Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA is an excellent choice. Though not the only Tapas bar in Boston, the atmosphere, food, drink, and service were spot on. Despite the a previous reviewers prediction of failure, Bar Lola has succeeded. The restaurant has been operating for over 8 years. Our first visit was not long after... More

Many restaurants have tried to succeed at this location on Commonwealth Avenue, but sooner or later they all seem to fail. I expect Bar Lola will experience the same fate. The tapas style food is just OK. The bar is odd - one feels like there are 20 people who go there every night and if you aren't one of... More

The food was ok, and the prices werent crazy.....but what is this place? Is it is trying to be a nice French restaurant? If so, the rowdy bar area doesnt really match. The service does match the bar area though. My wife is pregnant, she asked our waiter if they had any "mocktails" or a cool drink without alcohol. His... More
