Spanish tapas is slow food... Bar Lola... Nice location, however the service is too fast and the food too salty, we had not finished our first glass of wine, all the tapas ordered were already on the table... The location is great... We could go back, but ask for a slow service

We met friends for dinner one Saturday night at the end of last September, when the weather was still warm enough to sit outside. We immediately fell in love with the ambiance of the patio part of this restaurant. Bar Lola's is a subterranean restaurant located in the basement of the old Hotel Vendome. While we often dine outside at... More

Came to my regular haunt, which is usually pretty good. Arrived for a table and they put name down. Went to bar and got a whole lot of attitude and never got a table. Not a good way to treat a regular and local customer...there food is just not that good to be so arrogant Not recommended

I sat outside one Friday evening in June and had an enjoyable and relaxing meal. Commonwealth Street is fairly quiet for downtown Boston and there wasn't a lot of street noise. The bar has an extensive menu and a good wine list. The marinated olives were very nice as was the salmon. Service was a bit iffy but got better... More

Came here Friday night and sat outside. This restaurant is on my street and always walked by and thought it would be over-priced and poor but i was wrong. Service is friendly but slightly slow and the tapas was very tasty. I think stick to the smaller dishes. Lamb cutlets, Duck with orange and the squid filled with fish, were... More

I was looking in the area for a restaurant to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. It was the ONLY restaurant in the Back Bay area interested enough in offering me their services. They were very accommodating. All my guests were very happy with the service and quality of the food. I ordered the meatballs, empanadas both chicken and beef, the... More

Went for a walk into Boston and just happened to come across this one. Really nice and cosy place. We had a tapas themed night with my friends on sangria. Good place to dine and chill with friends.

While they did serve some tasty dishes, they were unfortunately in the minority. The skewered scallops were very tasty as were the patatas ali-oli. The garlic shrimp was some of the worst I have experienced - the tiniest of shrimp cooked in garlic broth - no flavor other than garlic The sangria was bland - mostly ice and some fruit... More

We were looking for a place to have a glass of wine and tapas last weekend. Found this place and thought it might fit the bill. We ordered two tapas, Manchego and cheese, and a lamb in ragu. The cold one was just not even close to adequate. The lamb ragu was tasty. Then the paella...this dish did have the... More

We found Bar Lola after a place down the street was too busy to seat us. When we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and our service was great. The drinks and food came out in a timely manner. My boyfriend and I split 4 dishes and liked each one... More
