Great Tapas bar with lots of options and late hours, a quick hop from Downtown

Happy to find they carry Allagash White in addition to their great cocktail menu (the Moor's Last Sigh is heavenly). Ordered the shishito peppers - wonderful smoke and sea salt. Also had a fried potato, egg and basque sausage dish that was perfectly cooked (the potatoes were almost homemade... read more

From start to finish, a great experience. Arrived at 7:30 for an 8PM reservation, but the hostess was able to accommodate us. Decent drink list with a wide selections of cocktails, wines, & beers. Nice atmosphere to the restaurant with a noise level that was not over the top so you could have a decent conversation. All of the food... More

Family of four with two kids - one special needs. We loved it. My son is very picky - he won't eat it if it's not good. He ate his fill! So that we did not disturb "grown ups" we booked for 5:30pm on a Tuesday in March. We were well accommodated with a window seat and they took a... More

I don't usually review places but this experience warrants a negative review. We had a 9:15 reservation and didn't get seated until 10. While we were waiting we got drinks at the bar and the bartender very purposefully added drinks we did not receive or order onto our tab and we caught him. This was supposed to be a nice... More

Some friends of mine talked about this place and I was so happy to discover it. The restaurant doesn't look a tapas place. I thought I would find the "jamones" hanging from the ceiling like in Spain. But the food is really good. I ate all sort of small dishes like tortilla con patatas and other things. Everything was fresh... More

Tapas portions are ablittle bigger than your normal tapas restaurant but the overall food quality was average when you compare it to some of the other great tapas restaurants in Boston like Toro, Taipeo etc. Service at the bar was great and you could see they have their regulars crowd which was great to see. The space lack of energy... More

My husband and I have been to Estragon a number of times and always enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food. The bar is classic old wood and sets the tone for an intimate evening as a couple or with friends. They make some amazing craft cocktails and have an extensive regional wine list. The walls have floor to... More

I rarely venture to the South End neighborhood but a friend suggested meeting at this spot. It's a 15 minute walk from the Back Bay or Mass Ave Orange Line T stations. There Silver Line runs near by as well. My friend and I had a great time. The service was really attentive without being pushy. Our food and wine... More

We ended up getting a reservation at the last minute and sat in the back on couches and chairs around a coffee table. MOST AMAZING AND FUN EVENING!!!! Such a great atmosphere and awesome food. Sharing is the best way to experience this restaurant. The beef cheeks were so good!!!! We loved the brussel sprouts. Good cocktails and great service.... More

I loved this restaurant. The tapas were well prepared and beautifully presented. And tasted so delicious! The service was excellent -- server was attentive without being overbearing and made some great recommendations when we just couldn't decide. We will definitely go again and consider this restaurant a hidden gem in Boston's South End because it is slightly off the beaten... More
