Dim sum for New Years

We enjoy having Chinese food for New Year's. We also enjoy Dim Sum so we combined those and made the trip to Boston. The location is small, and we shared a table with two other people, with whom we had a delightful conversation. We had steamed pork buns, crab ragoon, fried sesame buns, chive and... read more

Was walking around Chinatown and found this place. Looked up the reviews and it looked like it was worth a try. Very quite place. Doesn't serve beer or alcohol. Dim sum was brought out hot and quick. Beef broccoli was really tender. Service was quick and attentive. Overall very good meal. Just wish I could have washed it down with... More

I came here because I wanted authentic dim sum and because it's on Tyler ;) street. $3.15 per dim sum plate was a normal price and the food was good. I came alone and sat at a very large table with other people dining single which I didn't mind. The food and service was fast and efficient.

The dim sum was tasty and affordable (~4$/dish). The menu had a wide variety of options and included several vegetarian dishes. Our only complaint was that the wait staff was a bit on the cranky side. But, nothing that couldn't be overcome by quick and tasty food. We ate at 6pm and there was plenty of space on a Wednesday... Three friends went last week and had a good meal. We split three dishes and three dim sum plates. We had to share a table because they were so busy.

My son and I stopped here for Dim Sum. We shared a table since it was very crowded, and once the food arrived, you knew why it was so crowded. Really great Dim Sum. The baked pork buns and steamed pork buns were delicioius, as was everything else we ordered. Even the teas was exceptional. The service was great, and... More

The food was great- very fresh tasting. The environment was comfortable. The service was very slow, however. We has steamed veggie dumplings, veggie lo mein, and moo goo gai pan.

I was very disappointed in the Dim Sum offered at this restaurant. The food was not good, all of the items on the menu was not available (we overheard it was because the chef was not in yet). I had high hopes based on the other reviews, but...

This place is touted as having the best Dim Sum in Boston, which says more about Boston than the restaurant. Having had some of the best Dim Sum in the US in New York's Chinatown, Flushing, and San Francisco, Winsor is a disappointment. Nothing is bad, but nothing said "wow" either. The place is small and has no carts, which... More

This may be some of the best Boston has but having been accustomed to the great dim sum in San Gabriel Valley and San Francisco, which compare favorably with the best dim sum in Hong Kong, Winsor is wanting. I will start by saying that 12 people can eat at Winsor for what 2 can at Yank Sing in SF... More
