Fun Bartenders and Waiters - Not So Good Food

The bartenders are great fun but don't go there for the food. It's very average pub food at it's best. It's a nice place to sit at the bar and have a drink but eat elsewhere as you will be disappointment with the selections.

Our server was hilarious and shredded both my wife and i....but never disrespected us. this place is not for everyone. and there's no problem with rolling with the punches and playing along...the hats are fun....people passing by seemed really interested but only a few would come on in after getting the lowdown on how the place works. great idea for... A place that specializes in rude, horrible service. They most of the time will make large paper hats and write comments on them - mine was "I stuff my bra." A very small bar area. This place is set up as family style eating and is usually very crowded, so chances are that you'll sit next to someone you don't... More

I took a quick trip from the airport to the harbor during a layover to Boston. Decided to eat at this restaurant, and really enjoyed it. It was a fun atmosphere and had great food and a pretty interesting menu. Lots of fun.

My wife and I went here for a quick drink, and we ended up getting the 32oz "Big A** Beers" on tap and downing them before moving on to other Faneuil Hall activities. Overall, we had a great time and the staff were pretty funny. And while it seems like this 32oz beer was expensive at $14 each, if you... More

We wen there on a Sat night. The wait staff pick on everybody. No holds on jesting. A noisy place but lots of fun. For the young at heart. They chuckled that we, 60's yr olds, had fancy drinks. We had mixed drinks. Pub food was OK from what I saw. Some funny videos if you can see them on... More

Food is less than average, drinks are very watered down, and the staff is OK. The one saving grace was a bar tender named Spike. Look for a new job Spike...your talents are wasted at DLR.

We visited Dick's Last Resort last Saturday 11/21/15 on a very busy Saturday Night. Not only did we have a very large group (20 people), but it was the Tree Lighting Ceremony. We had made reservations well in advance, and were seated within a short time of our arrival. Our group was 13 Adults and 7 Kids. The menu had... More

food was good especially the catfish poboy. The waiters and waitresses and even the host like to dish out some sass. everyone thinks people are rude there so they play the part but in a funny way. was fun.

You have to know that abuse and rudeness is Dick's claim to fame. I admit that it was funny but only up to a point and then it became irritating. Went for lunch and had the chicken Caesar salad which was pretty good. Prices surprised me a bit as beer cost $18 which was high. Okay for lunch or drinks... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
