Great open atmosphere!

Had a great burger and beer on a nice open window with a nice pub table. Enjoyed the music that was piped in, enjoyable while still able to talk to your party. I went back the next day for lunch pizza wasn't the greatest but had a soccer game on and was fun atmosphere

Visited here for a few drinks. We were given menus for food and drink but then given a different list of beers and were told the main drinks list was out of date. Myself and another in the group ordered the Kona ale but it the server came back to say it wasn't available. I chose another IPA which was... More

This pub was nicely located right downtown. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend trying the clam chowder and chicken pot pie!

Look we loved the atmosphere, we sat right at the open front window. Our server Emily was fair while not awesome. We dined at lunch 4/19/15 the day before the Boston Marathon. I figured a Irish restaurant on Boylston Street in the heart of Boston would know how to make a great Rueben Sandwich! Ah........ no, that's not the case.... More

We were waiting for spring, looking for a place to have a drink and we walked by this place and they had the windows open so we walked in, my girl friend was attracted by the spiral stair case and it was great. There is plenty of action and excitement on all 3 floors, right across from the Heins Convenction... More

Looking for an Irish pub in Boston? Throw a stone, you'll hit one. The Lir, much like other locations such as Black Rose, Purple Shamrock, etc are tourist-style pubs that attract college crowds. Great on a warm day with the window's open, the Lir can be your afternoon delight. If you are looking for something more traditional, my I suggest... More

We just happened to come across this one evening while strolling down the street and my husband spotted that they had a chicken hotpot on their menu so we returned for dinner the following night. Our waitress who we will call "Aoife" because she was the head off a friend of ours was really nice and bubbly and it wasn't... More

After a long day working the NCSS Conference at the Conference Center, we walked out and were directly across the street from that pub. It looked pretty cool and trendy so we decided to go in for a beer. The place was pretty crowded but in a good way with a great atmosphere. I ordered a Boston Lager and it... More
