when you walk in you may be underwhelmed, but dont fret-the food here is wonderful. It is small and unassuming, but the highlight is some of the best latin/mexican fast food you can find anywhere. Their specialty is the burritos. They are huge-but the key is how fresh and flavorful everything is. being a vegetarian I usually opt for the black bean... More

I'm going to have a hard time having Mexican back home after tasting these veggie quesadillas with kale & plaintains -- only found in Asheville!

I always read the negative reviews before I write my review, and I must say I'm perplexed by the people complaining Mamacita's is the same as Moe's, or just more expensive. Yes, the basic setup is the same, but Moe's is a chain, and you get chain quality, not bad but not great. Mamacita's is one location and has creative... More

This is a self service (get your food on the line and then grab a seat) restaurant. I have eaten there twice a month for years. Their ingredients are fresh fresh fresh and consistently great. I find it difficult to go and not get something with the Citrus chicken. This restaurant is great to grab a bite with a friend.... More

Mamacita's is a must go place when you are hungry and ready to chow down on creative california mexican cuisine. Choose your own ingredients to make the most awesome burrito ever! And it is huge. If you are not that hungry, no worries, split one with your friend or take half home for tomorrow. Fresh ingredients, delicious, good selection of... More

An old standby but for some reason tonight they were just off. Still good food just really bad service. As if they were ready to go home and didn't care. 3 star tonight.

So you're rolling around downtown and you're really hungry. Sure you have plenty of places to eat, but you don't want to wait too long or spend a ton of money. Luckily, there's Mamacita's. They're fast, it's tasty, and very affordable. It's in the style of "assembly-line" burrito places like Moe's, Neo-Burrito, Urban Burrito, etc., however, this place blows all... More

It's exactly like Moe's Southwest Grill. That's not to say it's bad, but since you choose your own ingredients for them to make burritos and such in front of you, it really depends on your tastes. You can make them as hot or mild as you like, but in the end... they aren't very exciting!

If you like "the ultimate tacos" this is the place to go. Quick, easy, and very clean. Felt kind of like "The Subway" but was for tacos and great mexican food. Sauces, quacamole...all sublime! Spicy chicken tacos the best!
