We were in Asheville two nights & ate Mexican both nights, sharing a ridiculously huge burrito each time. We went here because the locals chose it as really great. We did like it & it was good, but the burrito we had at Urban Burrito the night before was bigger & the chicken (mild) had better flavor. So if we... More

Very good quality in a clean and efficient restaurant in downtown Asheville. Right next door to the Orange Peel music venue. It's very similar to Moe's or Chipotle, but BETTER.

They could do better but they are not disappointing. The chips are too thin to scoop salsa. The food was pretty Amercanized, which doesn't bother me too much. I would eat there again.

i don't really rate every restaurant against every other one. I rate nice restaurants against nice ones and casual or fast food against their peers. Notwithstanding what other reviews say, this is really just like Moe's. It was very fresh, very good and creative. I had the New Year's Burrito of pork, collards and black eyed peas and it was... when you walk in you may be underwhelmed, but dont fret-the food here is wonderful. It is small and unassuming, but the highlight is some of the best latin/mexican fast food you can find anywhere. Their specialty is the burritos. They are huge-but the key is how fresh and flavorful everything is. being a vegetarian I usually opt for the black bean... More

I'm going to have a hard time having Mexican back home after tasting these veggie quesadillas with kale & plaintains -- only found in Asheville!

I always read the negative reviews before I write my review, and I must say I'm perplexed by the people complaining Mamacita's is the same as Moe's, or just more expensive. Yes, the basic setup is the same, but Moe's is a chain, and you get chain quality, not bad but not great. Mamacita's is one location and has creative... More

This is a self service (get your food on the line and then grab a seat) restaurant. I have eaten there twice a month for years. Their ingredients are fresh fresh fresh and consistently great. I find it difficult to go and not get something with the Citrus chicken. This restaurant is great to grab a bite with a friend.... More
