The plantain appetizer was spectacular--next time I would ask for more crispy. The cuban quesadilla was delicious, too. Our server was friendly and gave us water for the dog.

We last visited Chorizo on February 23 this year and while the food was excellent (as always), the service was really horrible. I am happy to report we went back yesterday and the service was really excellent! It was much busier than our last visit (with inside and outside tables on this lovely day) and I think it was the... Chorizo specializes in Central and Southern American preparations which are much different from Mexican. We have visited Honduras and Nicaragua often and was not impressed with the flavor of our dishes. The presentation was excellent and as one reviewer said, the plantains were excellent. I thought the dishes were overpriced.

Wife and I had dinner here on our last night in Asheville. She had a seafood paella and I had the Mahi mofongo. Both were excellent.

Oh my gosh! Never had a plantain until Chorizo. I have been dreaming about the food since I left! Can't wait to go get some more!

The Latin inspired food was unlike anything I'd ever eaten. The blood orange sweet tea surprised me almost as much as the sautéed plantains. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

I ordered the papusas. Excellente! The flavors are very comparable to authentic Salvadoran cuisine. Service was great. The seating was not that great. Even though it was late in the afternoon, well after the lunch rush and well before the dinner rush, me and a friend were seated in a passageway. Kind of felt as though we didn't deserve real... Great menu with a broad range of Latin and South American dishes. The restaurant offers sidewalk dining at the famous Grove Arcade

She messed up my order but not my boyfriends. She didn't come to refill our drinks till be were done with our meals and never asked us... More
