Enjoyed lunch on the patio as we watched the downtown Asheville crowds walk by. I tried the lava bowl having no idea that it was actually a bowl made of lava. The tender bits of steak, shrimp and vegetables came to the table sizzling and bubbling. Very different but nice and flavorful. The outside patio was nice as was our... More

Latin food, not outstanding. Friendly staff. Too much dishes to choose from, which makes it complicated to make a choice.

We stopped by Chorizo for a late lunch while walking around Asheville. They do shut from 4-5 in the afternoon for kitchen prep so be aware, there is no sign on the door to tell you this so we watched several patrons come in, seat themselves, and after a few minutes an employee would tell them there was no service... Dined at Chorizo on the recommendation of hotel staff and was cautioned that recent experiences were varied. Atmosphere was cramped, relatively noisy and nothing special. Service was slow. Best item ordered was the at-the-table guacamole. We ordered a large appetizer and a specialty entree. The appetizer was average and almost cold when served, and the entree had so many components... Very good restaurant with good coffee. Two of us had breakfast, while the other lunch. i liked my Argentine breakfast which consisted of two eggs, black beans, guacamole, fried potatoes, vegetable empanada. Lots of food, not spicy, but nicely seasoned. Loved the coffee and warm cream to pour in it. Another person ordered the paella, and like it. The other... More

The food here is great, but the seating is quite crowded. But our party of six got squeezed in and enjoyed a really nice meal. The staff was helpful with answers to questions about some of the ingredients and the portions generous.

Chorizo has such great Latin flavors! Yum! Lots of breakfast options- my favorite is the simple pupusa breakfast. I've never had to wait in line, even on a weekend. It's a smaller place, with great colorful art. Only thing I don't like is that they heat up their cream for coffee, so it looks like it's curdled.

If you go here, try the pulled pork burrito. You won't be disappointed. Amazing food. Huge portions. What's not to like?

Really enjoyed our lunch. Sat outside and started with table side guacamole and pico. Tasted really fresh and flavorful. We liked both of our entrees and will definitely return.
