A home town favorite

Limone was one of the first places tried when visiting Asheville. Now that we live here we consider it one of our favorite places. My son insists we eat there when he visits and he doesn't get any resistance. There are more famous places in Asheville, but there aren't any better.

Recently went back with my wife and they had a whole bunch of new items on the menu. Always tasty and fresh, service is excellent. Too many people rate places like Posanas and Curate higher but they are becoming commercial and aiming at tourists. Natives know best

5 of us ate here on a recent visit to Asheville. Very quaint inside and the menu is varied. Ask the waiter to explain some of the dishes...but try the lobster nachos! Amazing and large pieces of lobster. Ceviche is also very good! Highly recommend the scallops which were outstanding. And save room for the bread pudding for dessert!! I... More

I ate here the other night and wish I was still in town to go back again! I had the blood orange margarita (delicious! And not too sweet) to start. Since I was on my own and sitting at the bar, the bartender was very helpful in giving me suggestions on what to eat and how much to order. I... More

We had an early reservation so we were surprised when we got there and got a kind of a noisy table in the back, even though there were a couple of tables open further to the front. We brought this up to the hostess and at first we thought it would not be addressed but then she came back and... More

Based on Tripadvisor reviews, I tried out the place and was glad I did. For my visit, lots of specials with lobster (lobster nachos, lobster ravioli) and seafood choices. This is a hidden gem in downtown Asheville and there is not too much seating (think the standard square footage of a typical shop in 100 year old downtowns) so you... More

Took the wife on her b'day and it was a huge hit. First time visit and it did not disappoint. The waiter had a great engaging personality and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our diners were well prepared, very flavorful, and just the right size. Although expensive it was well worth it. Reservations a must and book at least a... More

We came to Asheville for my bachelorette weekend party and they treated me to this place. The food was wonderful. My scallops were HUGE. We sampled a couple of appetizers as well. The lobster nachos were unique and tasty! The service was outstanding, we never had to ask for anything. Definitely eat here when you visit!
