Great food and vibe, bartender is highstrung

Dined here on a Sunday night, and the place was buzzing. Bartender was having an off night, or was just plain highstrung. Great variety of specialty drinks, unfortunate that the bartender did not embrace the opportunity for exploration. Had a great margarita that was not your "run of the mill" (self selected), very good. Dinner was excellent! Server was excellent!... More

We ate here on a Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. When we arrived, the place was packed! We were seated right away, but our server was pretty busy, so it took a while to get a drink. My wife had a martini with vodka, Chambord and blackberry puree, with salt on the rim. It was delicious. I had a spicy... More

although the neighborhood in which this restaurant is located is a little iffy, the atmosphere inside was very pleasant. For our appetizers, I had the spicy ceviche with shrimp and my sister had the lobster roll. Each was a significant portion, the lobster roll especially! For our entrees, we had the rack of lamb and the beef tenderloin with lobster... More

We were fortunate to get a last minute reservation, full house on a Monday night. Really enjoyable atmosphere, not super fancy but classy. Great service, lots of attention to detail. Dinner served hot immediately from kitchen. So many items from menu we would love to try next time. We had duck on lentils with asparagus and delicious scallops. Tres Leche... More

Had dinner here with a friend Saturday March 21. We had reservations for 5 PM, and I'm glad we did because they were instantly busy! We shared a bottle of wine, and started with the Lobster Nachos. I would've liked a little bit more Lobster on them but overall they were delicious. I got the Sea Scallop entree and my... More

This restaurant was the top recommendation of the owners of the inn we stayed at. In fact, they themselves had taken friends there the previous evening. The service was friendly, profesional, and prompt. Good wine list and a dozen or so available by the glass. The reataurant is not large, was busy, and had a good vibe with lots of... More

This was our first visit, and we found everything from the cocktails to the food to the service to be really very good. (I save 'great' for my ten best restaurants on each continent) We like this style of food, enjoyed the ceviche sampler and the chipotle shrimp very much. (My husband had the tenderloin of beef and said it... More

We had reservations and we were seated promptly, even thought the restaurant was almost full. Although parking was a bit of a challenge, there are several garages in close vicinity. This was on March 7th of this year; so, tourist season was not in full swing. Our server was helpful in making suggestions if asked. The Lobster Nachos should not... More

My wife and I revisit this restaurant whenever we are in Asheville. We were lucky to get a seat at the bar this year. The Ginger Mint Margarita was outstanding and our entrees were better than ever. In particular, we ordered the pork tenderloin which was incredible. I expect restaurants to loose their edge and rarely live up to high... More

Limones is one of several restaurants in Asheville, NC to which we never worry about taking friends. The menu is varied, the drinks generous and the food consistently excellent. It is one or two restaurants here that have never served me an inferior meal.
